  1. I'm being sensible and just ignoring the car at the minute like a kid having a strop New hi/low loom turned up yesterday with some JDM (tie) wraps so should have some working headlights again soon! Depending how I feel I may lift the back end to find out what's happened this time with the handbrake but I really don't want to as it stands currently.
  2. I don't actually know what posessed me to go for them over OEM which would have been cheaper but hey ho here we are! Only done about 700 miles on them and seem to do the job for now! Should be nice after that, good time to go for new fluid too!
  3. For once my show prep list is quite small! Headlights and a clean for me only this time on the essentials list!
  4. That's pretty much what this guy on the CTR owners was saying about brakes, you can gain more from good pads, braided lines and a decent fluid when the car is a daily, no point in changing from OEM discs or going bigger unless you're frequently on the track (Says me with new Mtec discs ).
  5. This will be the third time I've seen DD
  6. Yeah that's not too terrible but that's probably about a years worth of driving? Which is a short amount of time, could understand if they'd done more track days.
  7. How long are the Mtec discs lasting you Al out of curiosity, rough mileage, age and was it just the one track day you managed?
  8. I read something about dimpled or drilled discs letting gas escape from pads? Not really sure though, sounded good other than the cracks that seem to develop from what I've read.
  9. On the Civic Type R owners forum their 'guru' recommends standard discs, Ferodo 2500 pads, braided lines and the 5.1 brake fluid and says that set up is ideal and cheap for hooning and occasional track use. Reckons that unless you're on the track more than once a month it'll do you fine.
  10. I went with just the grooved version of the Mtec discs because of what I've read about dimpled/drilled discs. I had some Tarox grooved discs on my EK that seemed to work well, brother also used them on a 330bhp Pulsar too and drove that like you drive yours on a regular basis! Could be worth looking into?
  11. I used some I found from a wardrobe I took apart, they do the trick!
  12. If the brackets are the same as I had then ditch them and find some L shaped ones that don't protrude out as much otherwise the fog will still k out by a good inch.
  13. Sounds like jobs a good'un mate!
  14. I'm not biased, I hate everyone equally
  15. At least you'll get the money back at all mate, waiting sucks but still better than nothing.
  16. I think if he ignores PayPal they'll just take the money out of his account anyway.
  17. We will have to try to arrange track time at shows with both for a friendly comparison!
  18. Yeah see what the dyno shows then go from there!
  19. I'd strongly advise getting it mapped as that'll make good use of the intake manifold! Just noticed, can you fill out your profile details please dude? Ta
  20. I can't watch the video but I'm just picturing bleeding ears and deaf children in a 2 mile radius
