Scary stuff when you're not expecting it and coming up for a gatso
-
Look what I came home to, not bad to say the pads were meant to be delayed until next week!
-
I used to notice the same thing with my brothers old 1.5 Civic, it was to do with the fancy economy thing it did, used to nearly get me into trouble as I'd be happily doing 30 then suddenly it speeds up

The C4 is meant to be more 'comfortable' than your run of the mill VTEC engine, that's why it has the two stages with the IABs.
-
I think it's going the way it should be!
-
A mate of mine used his conservatory to bake his panels in once he'd sprayed and lacquered the parts, came out alright for spray cans and done in a garden! Had to wait for the decent weather mind!
-
Just ordered a replacement centre cap (one went missing) and also some anodised red steel nuts to replace the soft ones! They are getting worse every time I take a wheel off which seems to be a fair bit recently as I keep playing with the suspension to find a happy medium with height and pre load!
-
Without bad mouthing I agree that in standard form the C4 hasn't got much lower down! To be fair the B16 in the EK4 is similar!
-
Cool, will leave it with you then chief!
-
Sorry mate, was having a blonde moment
-
Yeah you can mate. You want me to find the guide for you or are you okay?
-
Are they the same on the ATR then?
-
Ah, can forgive that!

Good point! Just give her a good clean when you're up for it and I'm sure it'll motivate your recovery!
-
I can imagine how high she's sat! It's better to go over the top with safety than to wish you had! I don't fully understand how the compression works/affects the way the engine works but I would much prefer to have a bit of leeway and be able to drive it to and from a track (if it's not a daily) and also there could be the odd occasion where you can't get the high octane fuel, you don't want to end up stuck somewhere because you can't bung a splash of 95 in to get you out of the sh1t!

So much for being an FB hater Dave!

Few weeks?! She was probably thinking you'd fallen out with her! Always feels good after a time away though! Probably be another week without mine before all the braking parts arrive/return, looking forward to getting them bedded in!
-
I would say 200bhp would be enough too with the set up you're doing! I was told the compression would be bad if it was a straight bolt on job of the C6 head but being as you're getting the pistons etc changed you'll probably be fine!
-
Were they easy to fit Dave? Shame about the first set turning up in a bad way but at least they sorted it out!

Could be something silly like a sensor?
-
Yeah I half expected the quote to go up but as you say, still a good price!
-
Does look nice in the cabin!
-
A bridge of fire? Just had a phone call, they've assessed them and said they'll be able to sort, quotes are plus VAT so it'll actually cost me £199.50. Should be good for a many years after though! Discs are on their way! Anybody know if the Mtec ones are sided?
-
Same place but apparently if you remove the ash tray from the back of the arm rest you can about get to the nuts you need to adjust.
-
I know that, I mean does it need to specifically be the 180 or do all of the facelift cars have the same rack...
