dr_broon
So finally figured out how to bloody erase the chip with the willem programmer.. Had to steal a jumper off my cd drive to jump some pins for the erase, then take it off again to write. So now (hopefully) have a chip with a p72 map on, with no dodgy sensors being looked for, and some tasty lowered iab engagement. Can't wait to get it in now. dr_broon
Yeah, me too. I know that it's not the same as having a p72 because the Map is trying to copy what the electronics of the ecu,but it will close, and it'll be interesting to see how it compares to the p9.There's a bit of a difference of opinion about whether there's any benefit from the p72... I remember reading that civicturbo Rich didn't see that there was much difference, but there's others who rave about it. Tbh, all i wanted to do first of all is be able to tweak the iabs, and as there doesn't seem to be a base map for the p9, then p72 it is
Krzys
There probably isn't any significant difference without a custom map other than being able to tweak the characteristics to suit how you want the engine to perform?
