Ok thx Dave probably too gentle with the handle then As for the parking, you have to line up with whoever gets there first, I wasn't first. Those lines are about 4ft wide if that, think someone painted them in middle of the night whilst drunk Off for four days from Thursday (I drive mini bus and park cars ) so I'll have another go then.2 points

Back in U.K after 3 weeks at sea, change of plan, was supposed to be going back to that ship in a couple of weeks time but another engine on another ship has spun number 4 main bearing so needs to have the whole engine ripped out. So the phone goes on Saturday evening a day after getting home and about an hour after getting all my rear brakes stripped, ''Can you be ready to travel to Antwerp on monday" so spent Sunday rushing around getting s**t ready without the car. Ah well. Got a set of braided lines from Hel Had to order a new right side rear handbrake cable due to my impatience and a seized clevis pin. Stuck in ship mode and got the grinder out. Cleaned up and wound the calipers back in nicely, looks like these calipers are good to use, getting ready for paint, if i travel Tuesday and not monday i'll get a couple of coats of paint on before i go, if not they'll have to wait. Hopefully all the brake fluid doesn't drip out while i'm gone. i've got the old hoses clamped pretty good though, even used my crap pairs of molegrips so i can take my good ones on this job lol Thats it for another few weeks. Been reading lots of tuning e-books and guides at sea and it's just inspired me to go turbo for sure. Budget not as much of an issue with all this work in the pipeline.2 points

Got my summerwheels to redo the polished lip, will be fitting them end of the month back on. Also got two seat heater buttons from a rover/mg? Does anyone knows the pinout for these buttons, it's not the same as for honda ones.1 point

It is pretty impressive, his work is most certainly paramount to art! Ha points, i wish! Never flown so much as i have in the last 6 months, may get my self an air mile card! So plan is still after japday @ Combe in may (15th) i think, it'll be coming off the road. I have nearly everything now .. IC & pipework and the exhaust i need to make, BOV, Boost controller (manual) and mapping, thats it! All done with no CC spend aswell! Hoping for it to be back out for the end of summer - September hopefully. But that also depends on availability of the mapper.1 point

May also be beneficial to check your pollen filter and housing ducts for leaves etc. http://civic5.com/forum/files/file/15-diy-guide-no2-change-the-pollen-filter/1 point

Be worth checking heater valve on the hose going into bulkhead. Very primitive. Thin cable on a plaggy valve normally. Check the cable moves when turning dial an that valve opens as it should.1 point

Well, you know the 'how to' says gently pull the chrome thing out coz it's delicate? It's delicate lol. I snapped it so I decided I'd best leave them alone lol Did consider giving them coat of gunmetal I used on the wheel - maybe on my next 4 days off I'll try be more gentle on the other one, see if it looks any good1 point

Headlights came. Tried to fit them and motor was hitting the slam pannel. So I cut a bit of the slam pannel so the motor would clear which it did. But then the base of the headlight unit was knocking the slam pannel also. So they are going back. Not happy I've hacked at the slam pannel for nothing but at least it can't be seen. But watch this space. There's a little something going to happen with headlights now which should be very interesting. They have been done before but very rare to see1 point

Welding done, proved quite differcult, quite alot holes when i did the big plate, came out really crapy but after some grinding its not to bad for my first body repair! Just need to clean it up and put down some anti rust paint1 point

Did some bits on the missus k10, changed the number plate housing/lights and fitted an uprated mini 4" vibe speaker. Also attached a cup holder needs a bit more work. Drove it earlier, the back end is soo bad lol the back end kicks one way if it clips a small pot hole and bounces about 5 times after a dip!! think i will swop the struts over and it might need new bushes... A pic of the k10 concept car from the 1981 tokyo motor show1 point

My friend's older bro had one in his astra gte when we were about 15. Always remember once when we were in with a couple of lasses from our year at school, and he set the speedo to km/hr and floored it... Could hear them whispering in the back have you seen how fast we're going1 point
