  1. "May I take a moment of your time to talk to you about single cam engines?" Loving the build mate. It's the little things that sets these cars apart from each other.

  2. After that they were rubbed down again with 1200 wet & dry and sprayed with high build white primer. All white in the sun! Then rubbed down again with 2000 grit and sprayed with 3 coats of silver. And finally 3 coats of lacquer and this is what they look like today. I have to say I'm pretty chuffed with how they've turned out considering this is the first time I've attempted a job as big as this. And it didn't all go to plan, on Thursday when I went to move the first wheel over for the 1st coat of lacquer the wheel next to it fell over face first, once I'd finished swearing it was back out with the wet and dry, filler and silver paint.

  4. I'm starting to doubt it's worth it. Having checked insurance, I think I could afford to run a VTI so I may just keep my eyes open for something I'll keep tarting my little MB2 up though.

  25. Absolutely, I wanted to take my time and get it right. I was talking to my mate about it the other day and we were saying when we were younger we'd have had it done in a day but they'd look sh1t and the paint would probably have fallen off by the end of the week.

  30. He did but i don't believe he resolved the issue as far as i can remember, maybe he did but not to worry i know what im doing with this sort of thing it will work as it should when get on it, as i said earlier i did cut the plug off the accord, they are the same plug only difference is ours has two wires and the accord one has three an extra live so it only that wire i have to power up. I plugged it in to the M's plugs and it did what i said in above post so will be a doddle to sort

  36. It's depends on what you wanting and what sort of power and if you want to be a bit Eco on fuel . I have an MB2 too and my MB3 can do 50 mpg and still pull 128 bhp

  37. Went to a local body shop to enquire about spraying the VTi-S kit and the lad there owned a nice MB2. So we had bit of a long chat and he said for £200 he can fit the fogs and LED DTR, repair the wheel arch scrape, driver side wing and front bumper, spray the VTi-S kit and mouldings and lastly make a custom back box to sound like a Subaru. Does anyone think £200 is fair price? He also said he can lower my car by 35mm with the Jordan wheels for £140 but if I want it more lower then I will need bigger wheels. I'm not yet bothered about lowering so might leave that to last. I've seen him around with the Subaru sounding exhaust so I know he's genuine. Some pics of his car

  43. Couple of pics in daylight I had problems with the ash tray, as I thought I might do, but not how I expected. It looks as if the rails that hold the tray in are totally different on my car vs the MG ZS tray I have. Back to the drawing board on that one. You may also notice a couple of wires hanging out of the centre console below the heater dials. These are a USB connector and an audio jack which are plugged into the back of the head unit. I have some parts coming to DIY my own USB and AUX sockets which I intend to build into the two blank buttons (between the AC and the air re-circulate). Hopefully it'll look nice and "factory" if I do it right.
