  3. Wow, thanks for all the comments guys. It's good to know that some my my hard work is appreciated. Anyway here's a bit about the car. I bought it last year to replace my aerodeck VTI that was fairly tired and needed to much work a little too much money spending on it. My thoughts were that the VTI-S is much more rare and has the body kit already fitted so I would be much more inclined to spend a little cash on it. Also the guy that was selling it told me it was in mint condition. I traveled from the north east all the way to Southampton only to find it was far from mint. It had car park dings all over the bodywork and scuffs on every single piece of the splitter kit. The rear bumper was damaged beyond repair and the front one had a few scuffs and scrapes. The headlights were badly faded and the interior was filthy. It was however in good mechanical order and I got it for just over £1000 with the intention of making a good one out of two bad ones. I swapped every piece of interior and trim from my old car and fully cleaned everything else. I swapped all the mods including the wheels over also but the car still looked a bit rough. Anyway I decided that I was going to go the the mimms honda day in it so I thought it best that I tidied it up a bit. I had all of the dings removed and the entire splitter kit, front and rear bumpers, all of the door trims and a mid spoiler that I bought off eBay resprayed. I also had the rear windows tinted and detailed the entire car from top to bottom. As for mods, that will have to wait till next time as I've got loads to do and I'm back to work on night shift again tonight.

  10. She's alive! Done my final check last night. Had to adjust some I the valve clearances. Went to start her and......the battery was dead stuck it on charge over night and fired it in as soon as I got in from work. She started on the button was a bit concerned with the smoke that came out the exhaust but this was obviously just some old oil left in the system. Once the smokescreen had cleared I let her idle and started trying to bleed te cooling system. There's still some air in it as the heater pipe aren't getting warm so I ended up switching it off whilst we get dinner and put my daughter to bed. Will be out again trying to get the system clear, an get the wheels back on. Hoping il be able to get out for a drive round the block to see if it's all ok. Will update later

  11. C1 and C4 inlets have the same style porting. The rest are the smaller type like the red one.

  13. I almost forgot about the headlights, fortunately my first aerodeck had a brand new headlight fitted not long before I bought it. Unfortunately the other one was as badly faded as the ones on the new one. That meant I had very odd looking headlights so I treated it to a brand new oem honda item so that they now look as they did when it left the showroom.

  15. Yeah lacquer went down on bumper this morning, ill get it fitted tomorrow lunch time so thats all good! With the earth straps i just twisted up blue wires then crimped a small terminal each end, simple but effective i reckon! Started the clean up this morning (moving house in a couple weeks so was full of boxes etc) henry in it this lunchtime then soapy jet wash after work... Will see if i can get a dodo detailer from halfrauds on lunch too... Or is anything else suggested for a quick detailer spray from halfrauds??

  16. Still doing that several days later! Hoping to get the pre-Japfest clean done after work today, though the rain is doing a sterling job as we speak! Got a mate who's a detailer by trade doing it so should come up well if he's up for doing it in the rain!

Will need a rub down and re painting at a later date but its good enough to go on for now! Better than a black bumper anyway lol!!As above the finish isnt great but thats what happens with last minute jobs!! Lol will do for now! Now do i attempt to get the side strips silver before saturday or am i pushing it?!? Think i have left those far too late!! Lool

  25. Bumper is looking very nice mate. I have just finished doing my lip kit. Now working on the front bumper . Did you use spray cans for that? How was the finish? I can't get the glossy smooth finish like the bumper is already but i think can't complain for the price i have done it in
