B 20 tad more torquey. With a vtec head on they usually make around 185bhp. B20z is the better choice for higher rpm. Also f series used in prelude and accord is very different to s 2000 engine. It's more like a larger displacement d series. Sohc!

my MB2 - projectors in the making - mb16

Love it looks great. -
180k on the clock too. I'd seriously consider something else. Full b18 swaps can be had for 600 quid or less even.

I think it's an f series motor. Yes I've seen them in civics. But parts will be hard to come by and as above would want an inhaler not an induction kit.

Love your car. Reminds me of my olden when I first got it

Could be tyre man. I spent 160 u I'd recently two rear hubs. Still got noise. So swapped wheels about its chappy Avon tyres making what sounds like bearing noise

Yeah I was shocked. I test drove one thought crap this isn't right... left it anyway because gearbox was whining. So test drove the one I now own and was like ok this is just how they are. Slow! D16 in my eg was a right feisty little thing. This one however pulls like it's powered by a hairdryer!! Sounds like one too with the electric steering!

I think you need a new driveshaft

EP shape 1.6 is soo slow as well. What happened there. I got one as daily. It's gutless

Haha don't know about that. I just did a lot of research. So I knew what I was on with before doing swap. It's all about the prep work hey.
-
Then that's probably your issue. Eg6 b16 a. Have MAP sensor on the firewall not on the throttle. So I'm sure you will find an unused plug somewhere that doesn't fit anything. This will need to be swapped for the b18c4 MAP plug.

D16 vtec are awesome. Not much slower than a mb6. My mate had one and it kept up to about 100mph Then The 1.8 Takes Off. He sold that to someone here as well but never saw it again. Was a nice mb1.
-
Also depends what chassis and loom he used. Eg5 esi has map sensor plug on engine loom. So does b18c4 from mb6. Some other eg have map sensor plug on interior loom. So depending what combination he has. He may have two map sensor plugs and is using the wrong one.

alarm wiring up head lights and rear lights to flash
KiNK43 replied to raymb6's topic in Chat Lounge
You would simply need to find the wires that flash the indicators cut them and splice into headlight and tail light. Would be easy if you were installing alarm from scratch. I did it on my mb6 but just made indicators flash -
Defo get the lot. Unlikely the knuckle but top arm is piddly. So could be upper or lower. Get the lot

That is what I used.
