Wow looks superb! -
Have to concur with the above!! People get banned to teach them a lesson hoping that they won't do it again. Drink driving is bang out of order. If ya wanna have a drink get a push bike. Or stay home it's cheaper. Then spend your beer money on some cheap eBay car mods!

Find someone with a Vauxhall that's done 80k miles. I'm sure it will make you feel better about you cold start tapiness.
-
Yeah I agree a tweak here and there is acceptable if it fits right in the end.
-
I may one in my box of tricks. Let me have a look at the weekend
-
Must admit that would upset my ocd. They are a notorious bad fit toyosport stuff. Quality is nice tho. We tackled the 3" system on mates impreza the other week all manner of bending hangers etc to get it on. Gearbox bracket didn't line up either. Sure it can be sorted for you tho mate.

Coming on a treat!

Tried new fluid?? Not gonna cure the problem as you obviously have a worn synchro. But fluid can make a difference. Maybe the crunch will be lessened or move higher up the Rev range or dissappear. JUst for now until you get a replacement
-
Yes mate. That's the way. Mine went like this. Original s9b input bearing whine.next had 3rd gear crunch. next had No 1st or 2nd. Next 4th gear crunch then finally one with input bearing completely fell apart after one drive, Scoring the case beyond repair. So I then at that point got to drive car to make sure it was ok with 165k miles on it. Beautiful lovely smooth box. So we took it off the car and put it on mine there and then in the pouring rain.
-
Is it the air con pulley?? Strange I tried to remove it on mine and it was a pig. Wish it had fell off. Not having much luck mate are ya. But little bits and s**ts and you'll have a lovely car there.
-
Depends on money mate. S80 gonna sting you around 4-500 quid. S4c or y21 both the same. Gonna cost 150 quid. Be careful who you buy from though. I've had 5 gearboxes on my car before I got a good one that selected all gears and didn't whine or crunch
-
I have an s4c. For the money there a good upgrade. Not as quick up the gears as the s80. Nice compromise for improved acceleration and cruising. Mine is from an em1 vti. So has no lsd although i personally prefer how it handles over the stock Honda lsd. I find the lsd likes to pull in straight line if your on the gas while cornering. Open diff imo corners better in this case.

Oh dear mate. Sorry to hear that. Little s**ts

Good stuff. I love a wheel alignment makes the car feel awesome for a bit until hit a few bumps!

Thanks mate. Appreciate that.

Does look a good en hey. Body work is tidy!! Clutch would be soft if it needed bleeding. But could also be worth checking for leaks around the master/slave cylinders. could also explain low bite point.
-
Yeah check it when you replace clutch
-
Just thought I'd ask as my clutch was like that. Found it very annoying. New clutch didn't solve it. Another replacement pressure plate didn't resolve it. Turned out to be the release fork and ball it sits on was worn. Ended up costing a lot of money to sort. It's all good now mind. Bites nicely. Light and no squeak which I had before.
-
Bout time but worth the wait looks Nice man. Got all the standard M problems, sure you'll mop them up. When you press the clutch is there a squeak from the bell housing???
-
Come on its 13.17 what's the hold up you slacker. Clearly none of us have anything better to do than perv on your new vtis.
-
The problem you've got with ITR arb is the the points that fit to the lca are shorter. You would need to mount it to the sub frame. Which would definitely need strengthening. Possibly asr brace may fit. And you would need to drill holes through the sub frame to fit.
