Just been docs. Said I've just got the mother of all sprains. Torn ligaments etc. 4-6 weeks to be back on my feet she recons.
-
Not good. Still can't stand or walk. Hopping around everywhere or on crutches. Guess it will improve with time. Took the opportunity to order the bits to redo the brakes tho. So that's one positive. Probably would have ended up in the gravel tomorow trying slowdown from 150mph

Had to cancel my fast road setup tomorrow. And the track day
-
Pretty depressing but weighing up cancelling track day next week. Ive wrecked my foot riding bmx. Bent all me toes right back. Foots the size of a melon, toes are all black. Can't walk. Might be bit better by then just not sure.

BOV vents the pressure in the intercooler pipework to atmosphere when the throttle closes. If you don't run one, then that air will have to makes it way back to the turbo. Some info suggests that this stalls the turbo. I don't think it's a major issues at all especially with low boost levels like this. I wouldn't worry too much about the hondata right now. Just run a socketed P28 and find a tuner that uses Crome or similar software.

Looks lovely round there. What a nice part of the world

Nearly at a point where I'll be happy with it. Could do with the brakes tarting up. New lines pads fluid etc.
-
Needed some new plug leads and accidentally now have a red and black theme going on throughout the car. Remembered I had a little red cap for the ps fluid somewhere lol. It's the little things ay. Haha.

Times ticking for donnington. Been on call all weekend between jobs manage to fit the front knuckles and coilovers. 10mm spacers are on aswell. Offset Is much better imo. Getting really excited now. Can take her for an alignment. And about there.

Your power expectations seem fair. Personally I'd buy parts indivually. Even good Kits have issues. For example I baught a racetech kit. It didn't fit then the turbo was faulty and the manifold kept cracking was awful. I would splash out on a decent manifold. You want a good strong 3mm walled manifold. Not one of these flimsy shiny eBay ones, they will crack constantly and be a pain in your arse. Reliability.. you can make a reliable turbo setup. But turboing a stock engine you always going to be waiting for the day it goes pop imo. Maybe it never will and it will be fine. But it's a ticking time bomb, but if mapped properly and looked after at that power could be fine for many years. But if it does pop take it as part of the fun and fix it. Shopping list. Well you need a turbo. Something smallish. Manifold, wastegate, downpipe and exhaust, fuel pump, injectors, ECU a p28 to start with and a hondata s300 if you want but not required, a clutch, Oil feed and return lines. bov if you want one. I don't bother personally with bov. And an intercooler and pipework.

Ahh maybe I don't know. I've always just gone and got standard settings. I'll have to have a look online see if I can find any decent info as wouldn't mind having it a bit more focused.

Arse end is done now. Correct length bolts fitted to shock. New clevis pins in the handbrake as had to cut them off. Hardrace upper arms fitted. And raised up 10mm. Think I like it that height. Sensible. Probably got about an hour's work on the fronts and can go get an alignment. Can anyone recommend camber and toe settings?
-
Probably have a look on Facebook market place or eBay for a car that's breaking. There is a breaker on Facebook in Birmingham who will likely have what you need. Called Mistaa Saj
-
Also maybe of interest I have always made new lenses out of perspex for my mb fogs. Have never had any issues with heat etc.
-
I have not fitted as such but I would certainly be comfortable to tackle it. An auto electrician would be able to do it for sure.
-
Got de ja vu. The lights are completely different so no it wouldn't fit I'm affraid.
-
So that's out with the old. Here's in with the new. Cleaned everything up without going mad. Not being mega OCD as cars there to be driven. So replaced the trailing arm bushes with poly. Recommend this type, there dead easy to fit. Got some skunk2 lower arms as liked the colour combo. Matched what I'm doing elsewhere and subtle. And some Meister R zeta pro coilovers. Getting excited going to be transformed!!! Also have some hardrace rear camber arms to sling on another day. Want to paint them black first.
-
Busy day today. What a horrible job to do on jack's. The bushes were absolutely shot as you can see. The LCA literally swung about had that much movement in the bushes. And the trailing arm bush well picture says it all.

They look smart mate!
-
The lights are a completely different shape

Sweet have a real softspot for beemers! Yeah I'll put camera in car no problems, I will admit I'm not the greatest of drivers tho so probably be taking it fairly easy.
-
More bits on the way too. Need to get this thing in shape now for donnington. Btw what are you in now? Always enjoyed your threads.
-
True but a step in the right direction. I recon one day our "future classics" or whatever may have to get involved with electric revolution. I fear we are going to get heavily penalised on tax and fuel eventually
-
I think if you were to go that route Facebook is your friend. I can ask about aswell. Such a shame. I understand the fear that they are starting to go but I genuinely think most are fairly good. Tubs must have had bad material for some reason. everythings gone. So bizarre

Im only gonna say this because I've been watching rust valley on Netflix. When shells far gone.. they convince owner to resell and use all there bits to keep the spirit. I recon you could find a pretty tidy rolling shell for 400 quid. People just want the heart out of them. And swap all your bits over?????
