  1. Thats weird I was looking at them just the other day. There all auto same running gear as an odyssy
  2. Yes that's it really. Remeber to have heaters on hot. I try and get it about right. Then just go for a drive. Usually shunts any remaining air to the expansion tank.
  3. That's a nice read. I've said for a long time. I believe keeping an older car on the road is far less poluting than keep producing new motors yet seem to get penalised for it. And I'd imagine the EVs batteries are horrific then comes the disposal later on.
  4. Just knocked this up incase actually get to any shows this year. Always been a bit worried leaving bonnet up on normal prop incase wind picks up. Problem solved.
  5. Yeah been out for a blast. Drives a million times better already. Silent over bumps. No clunking has new rear ARB bushes and drop links on aswell. Oil cooler doing its job. 10-15 degrees cooler than before. Gonna go back to using 10w40 now I recon.
  6. Haha funny you should mention that as I gave my lad the task of waiting for the radio to change minute and pressing the clock minute button at exactly the same time when we went out for a blast earlier. Lol.
  7. I've had a look Dave. That's exactly what I need. Me and my brother were trying to make something similar with an Arduino but gave up. So glad you've put me onto this. Thanks. In fact I could have not Installed gauges. Just ran this instead. OEM look and all that
  8. I've been looking at doing something with clock aswell Dave. As stereo has a clock right below it anyway. Was thinking tyre pressure monitor. But will have a look at trip computer aswell. Good idea
  9. So front ends back together now. Not finished as still not got my coilovers. And my knuckles are still locked a way but least it's usable again. And should still be a big improvement with all new poly bushes. Inner and outta rack ends. Droplinks and upper arms. Spent the other day going over the car with meguires ultimate compound aswell. Try and remove all the little swirls etc. Really nice polish to be honest. Used on DA. Came up great. Nice coat of wax on after.
  10. Excuse my crispy brakes not moved for few weeks. And keeps raining
  11. Took some pics of job today. May help. Can see punch mark. Not that it matters. Broke free easily. And installed new ones with locktite. These are part number btr 5239. M14 both ends. Need stilson or grips to remove old one. 32mm spanner to install new ones. Replaced boots aswell. Load the rack and the balljoint with grease aswell while your there.
  12. Not sure on the preface ones. Guess the top of the front panel holds the bumper. My eg never had one which has a similar fitting bumper.
  13. Yes you could remove and put back. as I say above it has a punch mark to stop it spinning. So making a new punch mark to resecure is ideal But personally I like to use loctite yes. The rack won't spin as such as the supported by the pinion. But if you are having to exert a lot of force onto it to undo the rack end then yes probably best to hold it in place.
  14. ST3 is the code for OEM parts for these cars. By staked I mean there will be a punch mark on the inner rod to discourage it from spinning loose. (Similar to how you would punch a drive shaft nut to stop it spinning) Can you take yours off to confirm diameter or you need to keep car on the road? I baught some previously. M12 inner thread. As that was the recommended part for my reg. On inspection mine are M14 both ends. So had to buy another set. Which were actually advertised for rover 45/mg zs. Sorry I can't be any more help. Do t want to tell you it's one size when it might be another. Seems a grey area on these inner rack ends.
  15. I'm doing this job now. Still waiting on delivery of the parts. They come off but have no flats to get a spanner on. So either a tie rod removal tool needed. Or a set or stilsons. Maybe pipe grips. The OEM part is staked to secure it. But in my case broke free easily. I've had trouble buying from eBay as wrong part listed. On my car its M14 x1.5 thread both ends. Can find the part on eBay search for: btr5239. Altho double check compatibility with your car.
  16. Tein street advance can be had for reasonable money. That would be the best price/quality imo. Eg/el yeah gonna be low at the back. But depends how you want it to look
  17. Meister r are one of the few places that do specific coilovers for these cars.
