    Not costing me a huge amount, am going for quick budget build for a bit of fun. Cost wise - Engine = £575 (will get couple of hundred quid back for the gearbox) - Head and K20 bits (using from original engine in the car - bottom end gone). Head gasket £65 - K24 Supertech 12.5.1 cast pistons £300 - Clutch XTD stage 4 £100 - RC 550 injectors £200 - CRV mount £30 - RBC £300 inc thermal gaskets and adapter - Gearbox using k20 from original car - Mapping K100 supplied plus mapped £720 or kpro £955 - Exhaust manifold ?? £200 - Engine building and fitting £4-500.

    Savage build bro, Put RBC on it and remap. Am doing an EP3 K24 Hi comp build this year, hoping to have it ready for the summer.

    There was a lad called 'azim-mb6' or similar who had a mb6 vtis around that way (Leicester). Used the forum a year or so ago...

    I don't think with a civic mb, anyone wants a stock one or is willing to pay more for a standard example hence they all sell for similar money both modded and stock. Right about now, the prices are floating around £1500 mark and being sold very quickly.. I would not sell mine for anywhere near that though!

    Crv mount ordered. Genuine Honda oil filter ordered. Genuine Honda K24 head gasket ordered. Can be upto 6 weeks! On back order 😡

    Well originally I was planning a cheap build just slapping on a k20 head and related bits with RBC and exhaust manifold plus a remap etc, which would see around 230 ish bhp but a lot of torque around 180-190 ft lbs but low down grunt and starts to drop off after 7k. They don't like high revs either.. But may throw in some pistons and couple of other goodies

    Doing a budget build K24-K20 Frankenstein into an EP3 ... Will be a bit of a slow build as currently got my mb6 vtis which needs some time with it and my leon cupra r 1m which just swallowed up almost £1k on parts, service and soon remap. So far I have bought my K24 engine (came with gearbox and ECU, which i'l try to sell off to recoup some money back). In negotiations for a 2003 Honda civic type r 30th anniversary (comes with full red recaros, rear tints etc, only 100 made in each color - silver, black, red) fitted with facelift front bumper/grille and rear lights. All going well, il have the car delivered to me around the first week of Feb. Photos of my K24 engine

    Another benefit with Meister R is that jerrick sells replacements shocks/refurbs them for like £80 each.. I know the roads around here are bad that I may suffer a blown shock some time! my car came with them fitted and its fairly low, had never had a problem on speed humps etc, still comfortable. no neck breaking when you drive through the occasional hidden ditch.

    Rust and bodywork is the main thing, most buyers prefer a clean body over miles. You'l need to get pics of the arches and sills to give a good estimate. Typically, they are going for around the £1500 ish mark in average condition. My last one was sold for £1000 on facebook after replying to a wanted ad for a VTiS and the lad ripped my arm off at that price. I did want more but I had already purchased another VTiS. The engine/box etc was in superb condition having had thousands spent on the mechanicals. The body had no real rust but the paintwork was dull and needed a good machine polish. Mileage was only around 90K if I remember rightly. I paid more for my current MB6 VTiS with a lot more miles but it was slightly cleaner bodywise and had a few nice mods. All depends on the buyer, people are prepared to pay around £1500 and not much more it seems.. An enthusiast however may possibly pay a shade more..

    When I had the metal on metal sound, I found it was the metal brake disc shield that had rusted away and come detached from the hub. Everytime I'd go over a bump, it would make an awful sound.
