  1. I got the clutch from ebay. I have found that if you can find the part number for a clutch, just search using that and you get them a lot cheaper as most retailers list like this.. civic 95-01 clutch exedy hck2021 Doing that I found the clutch for £101. (it was showing fitment for a b18c4 mc2, but I knew its the same fitment for mb6) but searching for civic mb6 or civic vti or civic b series clutch, they were £140 +++ I also managed to get my friend a genuine exedy clutch for his civic type r which retail at £150 ish for £55 using the same method (by searching using the Exedy part number rather then searching using the car details) If anyone wants more information on the clutch seller, inbox me! I was dubious at first but the clutch is 'exedy europe' as I read online that some of the cheaper ones are from American distributors and not as good as the European stuff. The bearing is 'koyo'. The steering wheel I got off facebook, took a lot of time to arrive and the seller seemed very dodgy, he was making a lot of excuses about not being able to post it out. or that his mother sent it and he hasn't got a tracking number etc but it arrived finally. Not usually a fan of buying from facebook as soooo many crooks on it. Its in pretty good condition too with hardly any wear to it.
  2. He has had one before the R26 230 Bhp version, had the typical Renault electrical issues but generally it was okay to drive. I haven't been for a drive in the one although the F1 edition is without LSD, can't imagine it to any good honestly. I was glad I didn't buy the R26 as I was looking to buy it originally, I think they are too flimsy and stock they are not very lively. Couple of bits arrived and done! I will refurb the thread on the momo wheel (easy way is to clean it and use red permanent marker). Still awaiting some climair deflectors, Clutch will be fitted after I return from my holiday now. Came suprisngly quick, I only ordered it yesterday and they messaged me back asking for my reg to confirm that it was the right part for my car. Was here by midday! Some quick service and the price is amazing!
  3. Went with a friend to buy a Renault Megane Sport F1. Well after a long delay, shockingly my bargain £60 delivered DC2 Momo steering has turned up. Was missing a cover on the rear, was dreading the price from Honda but managed to find it for £7.50 plus the vat.. My clutch has arrived too, Exedy Europe too! Spoon socks are here too and a friend is doing some smoked headlights for me so a few updates coming up over the weekend!
  4. Yeah those were some of the optional extras available. I think the fridge was in the arm rest, I seen those bits on the lings website. heres some of them. Click link for bigger pics.
  5. Some of the additional options available were- Cd changer Fridge Sunroof Visor Mats Boot mat
  6. Seeing as the cut out is already there, I reckon you should go turbo too !!
  7. I got the clutch for a tad over £100. Everywhere else was £140-150. Softened the blow a little. It's oem exedy 3 piece kit.
  8. Hello chaps, thought I'd get a thread up on here. Am sure most of you know the car, was owned by nick previously. Anyhow, this car turned out to be a nightmare. I've been a civic5 member for a long time but very inactive. However one night I decided to browse to see if there was any builds or anything interesting. Came across nicks thread for the car as I've always had a nose through his project thread to find it was for sale. Done a deal with Sue for a really good price. Left a deposit and arranged to collect it. Unexpectedly, it turned out to be further away then I presumed almost 200 miles! The sunday came and awaited my friend to arrive at mine so we can set off.. No response so thought he might have been busy, anyway looked at my phone only to realise the damn thing was off. Epic Fail. Anyway, as I was busy for the foreseeable future I arranged for one of my mates with a recovery to collect it. Was a swift journey back and arrived late night last week. Driving it off the truck and the centre pipe kept catching the body of the truck, after 20 minutes or so I finally had a brain wave of sticking a plank of wood below the bend by the rear wheel which should push it high enough. Finally got it off the truck. It sat for a few days as it had no insurance or tax at the time. So this week I got it taxed, insured and started driving. Gave it an obligatory hand polish. Bought a few mods for it. Skunk 2 rep gearknob. fitted Momo DC2 wheel, awaiting arrival Spoon rep socks, awaiting arrival Climair front wind deflectors, awaiting arrival Had a low tyre so went to my mates tyre place to get it checked out. The tyre had a bobble in the sidewall. It was a fairly recent tyre aswell. Gutted, so got a pair of 195-45-16 yokohama s-drives fitted. £138 for the pair supplied and fitted/balanced etc. Driving along the motorway to Mansfield, one arch guard came loose and decided to split ways with the civic. On the way back, the drivers side decided to do the same thing GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.. When I got the car, I noticed the clutch was really high compared to my other vtis. On the slip road building up some speed to join the motorway, it was slipping under load in higher gears. So I've purchased an exedy clutch oem replacement 3 piece clutch. Got it for a really good price too! Wont be getting this fitted for a few weeks as I'm going away on holiday in just over two weeks. Then want to get some arch shields and the front lip sprayed and do all the work at the same time. Gutting as my other MB6 didn't need anything spent on it at all in a year and half! Fitted the Skunk 2 Rep gearknob, weight and quality was good. Feels a lot better then the chunky vtis late spec gearknob. Writing is not 100 per cent centred but its livable for £13.95 delivered. Got a few plans for it but most will be after the new year as super busy period coming up with work! Few pics.
  9. Yeah that was owned by Sean_GT It was turbo'd. he blew the engine and stripped it. Then he ran it Nasp for a while and sold it. The car came up on ebay a few months back listed as an accord with an integra engine. unfortunately over the years a lot of the civic5 older posts have been archived or lost. heres a photo of when sean had it turbo'd.
  10. Looking well. If it's the right car that I'm thinking of, the lip was cut as the exhaust was a front exit. It was a turbo converted car. The chap was on here a couple of years ago.
  11. All depends on what your satisfied with at the end of the day. If you want a h22 then h it is. The only thing is when you start putting different engines in it causes issues and the way the box mates up to the Engine I've read it makes the shafts sit at funny angles n kills them off n what not. You either do it cheap or you do it right. If I was looking to do the h2b build, I'd be looking at having 5k tucked away for it as youl end up wanting to Change bits along the way and spending £££ For example the clutch, brakes, exhaust manifold, inlet+ possibly manifold, then the engine will need a full service with possibly the cam Cover seals n few small bits doing. It ends up costing a fair whack. H2b kit Clutch Engine service parts S300 or ecu Remap and tuning Added expenses (drive shafts, etc) Upgrades (wire tuck, after market add ons)
  12. Pallet is £45 or so if you look online buddy. Or Shipley is good.
  13. Are the inserts the same? possibly you may be fitting left to the right?
  14. The IABS should work, however they may restrict you power wise and most of the the map they delete them when re-mapping. Find a decent mechanic with a bit of knowledge on the H22, try performance tek even if you can get some general info out of him over the phone. He has done a few H22 conversions into EG/EK/EM etc.
  15. Older car, parts are rare = more expensive imo
  16. B20 swap is pretty easy and simple to do. B20 bottom end (these can be bought as complete engines for as little as £100 !! Typical price is £3-400) Golden eagle B20 conversion kit (can make this yourself if you got the know how but its not much to buy, contains an oil line kit usually by fitting a sandwich plate to the oil filter, a couple of dowels to align the vtec head to the bottom) I think some people drill oil ways (been a while since I looked into it!) That's pretty much it bar a remap. Ready built engines do pop on ebay for around £600-£800.. basic b20 build is roughly 200 bhp/150 ft lbs of torque. With the short gearing of a S80, better intake manifold n tune. Will unleash some epic power. Or go for boost, you can do a nice set up for under 2K
  17. Got some 15" VTiS fanblades that would look great on it!
  18. Great updates. Did you fit the steering wheel yourself? Did you manage to hook up the airbag or are you by passing the srs with a resistor?
  19. I've done a couple of turbo builds, one on a mb6 vtis. The key components are cheaper to import from America. We bought a turbo, manifold, downpipe, screamer tube and oil lines for under £1500. Intercooler can be bought from toyosports (good intercoolers for ebay seller) along with pipework which you can get adjusted and welded to suit. You may have to sacrifice power steering depending on which manifold you choose, we went for a ramhorm and got away with just cutting the power steering pump mount. There are a lot of things to consider, For a decent good build, your looking at £2-£2.5k all fitted and mapped on a stock engine. at 10 psi, T3/4 57 trim was a nice 300 bhp.
  20. Well in the past two days, after saying I won't be doing anything to this mb... bought the following bits spoon socks (rep) skunk 2 gearknob (rep) ClimAir front wind deflectors DC2 Late spec Momo steering wheel just waiting for them to arrive now,
  21. Arrived the other night, got stuck on the truck trying to get it off! The exhaust centre pipe silencer was catching the truck bed after a few tries managed to get a plank of wood to support the backbox side enough to get it past the dip in the truck bed frame. Gear knob feels huge compared to my early spec VTiS metal one so ordered a couple of cheap bits. Skunk 2 replica gearknob and Spoon replica reservoir socks. Only aesthetic things so wasn't too fussed about buying original items as both items were under £20 delivered.. Bought some Climair wind deflectors for the front (£49.50), team heko ones are a third of the price but don't look or fit as good in my opinion. Don't like the rear ones due to the design of the split rear window so just the fronts. Haven't had much time with the car due to working long hours, gonna get time over the weekend to look over it and see what else I can do visually, not fussed about any performance mods as its my daily driver at the moment. Possible future plans are carbon wrap on dash trims, red stitched leather gear surround, ek9/dc2/atr momo steering wheel, paint the calipers all round, broadway mirror, smoked headlights, lightly tinted windows all round (this may have to wait a while as winter is coming now). Few other bits and pieces
