Ah I see what you mean mate. I will try this fix, won't mess about with it any more than that though. Just arranged and I'm going over mates on Thursday evening.

Perhaps I'm barking up the wrong tree and it's just how it is. Will still attempt the re-weld, otherwise I'll have to put a silencer in there or out the old mani back on. Phil, does your 4-1 have a 2.5" collector? And what sort of decat are you running?

It's an adjustable 3 piece. But obv welded up to fit my EK. Don't think it's blowing around the block. Can't be sure though as the bloody thing won't do it while sat and revving. Think I'll try re-welding, then a new gasket as I re used the original as it looked in good nick. If non of that works I'll have to put the standard back on.

Tis what I'm hoping too. And that by re welding the decat it will resolve it.

Anyone else listen to the vid and think that's normal for a 4-1 with decat?

It's not really impractical if your only ever that loaded often once in a blue moon. Just the occasional sacrifice. Ie make one of them walk Could always try having the arches rolled slightly too.

Yeah that brackets still on there chaps. Just taken her out, my re fit hasn't made a difference. Although she did really badly stutter and loose all power for a second. Not sure whether the lamba sensor may be a little old and worn. Has been in the garage for nearly two years without being turned over. I have a friend with a welder not too far from me, so think I'll try a refit of the decat and if that doesn't solve it I'll have to put the standard back on
