  1. Exactly that .. He was massively outshone by his younger counter part last season .. Back off Mr Hamilton you big nobber .. He had an excellent season. YES he had the best car (so did Roseburg), but he also had the worst luck (out of the top 3 teams) in terms of DNF's and mechanical issues falling him out of Qually or even the race.. I don't think the drivers are that much "underskilled" as theyre late 80's-90's counter parts, I just think it was a different bread of driver back then .. The sort that couldn't of dealt with the tech aspect of todays racing .. And I think only a select few from modern day f1 would be able to cope with the physical stresses of the old cars .. I still watch it, religiously, every week.. And i'll probably continue to do so. I think its heading in a good direction .. Esp to what it was 5-6 years ago where I completely lost interest as the majority of races were tail to tail traffic and nothing else!
  2. Well I know for certain the the MGZS rear is 20mm .. Ive measured mine .. Not sure on what our front ones are though .. However, I would've thought that the theory works ..... The ARB at that thickness were designed for our cars at "stock" ride height .. With the addition of better lowering springs, coilovers, what ever set up your running, if it is better than the standard struts, logically you don't need as big ARB .. Having said that, firstly, if your on coilovers, for example meisters and have them set up properly, then the reliance on the ARB is surely reduced anyway? Also, the changing of ARB by 2 or 4 mm, are you really going to notice it??? As Simon said, I'm also interested as to how this will pan out and your feedback afterwards ..
  3. Sounds good chap! Hopefully they'll be what your expecting! Stiffer spring rates than the meisters IIRC ..
  4. Lazy man walking !!! Just normal resin type polish mate .. Or if you want it doing quicker, you could use a cutter, like t-cut
  5. I love watching old vids of the Senna days.. The cars were such beasts! The amount of driver effort & input was phenomenal ..
  6. well you coulda told me that before I got in a car with you !! hahaha
  7. Looking sweet mate .. Love the whales penis! Exhaust will be a great addition .. Are you going full system? Headers too? What happens then?
  8. Absolutely .. Even bring back the engine from then too! 600bhp of raw stupid uncontrolled power !
  9. Havent seen this one! I know Honda are being very very anal about pretty much every aspect of the partnership, even that they selected the drivers! Champ white would be amazing!
  10. My Cars defo not on the banner lol come on @Dave I feel left out! @Chandler, you wear glasses????
  11. Looks like a tidy lude mate ! Re the rear lights, how have you had them tinted? Just a thin coat of a black paint? If so, yeah, you could wet and dry it off and then gradually work up to maybe a 2500 grade at which point you could probably get away with polishing the finish back up ..
  12. Definitely wasn't meant as an insult mate !
  13. Well yeah of course .. But there are many cars that do ... Trial and error I suppose figuring out how big a battery you need to get through a certain number of laps ..
  14. Hmmm Rotas by any chance?! lol Bumper straps look good chap .. In keeping with your racecar theme
  15. Nice updates Dave .. Shame about the bit of rust at the back, at least its not huge .. Power steering pump is interesting .. Defo agree with the less rotational mass unlocking more power! Felt it well on my EK with only the alt running .. Which, technically you could almost do away with too if you were just running track time !
  16. Another vote for meisters .. And another vote for testing the BC's first .. Just to be sure .. However as Kryzs has said, EG/EK coilovers the actual length of the fork is shorter resulting in the arse sitting too low .. Well for me anyway ! With no adjustability to move it back up, it just wasn't practical .. So I changed to Meisters .. Also, ive always found BC's to be quite harsh on the cars ive been in with them fitted .. Crashy even .. The meisters on my deck, even set up hard, ride so so well ..
  17. Welcome along mate ! Looks really tidy ! Plenty of inspiration to be had on the forum !
  18. Absolutely! Taking some getting used to! Went out this evening and set the wiper wash off instead of flashing to say Thankyou!
