  1. Amen to that lol. Thing is, is there is a big big difference working as an MoT'r and working at tuning cars. For instance I didn't have my FRSU done at my local wheel alignment place. It was a honda tuning house that did it. By a gent who has worked on Hondas for over a decade.
  2. I'm sure it was an itr that @Krzys fitted?
  3. If not I think there are a couple more that would be interested.
  4. To reiterate it wasn't you @jimbob738. It was the bad attitude and 'I'm right because I've been in the trade and the rest of you don't know shit'
  5. In fairness mate you can't call a group of people amateurs with car set up when you don't know what an FRSU is. Fast road set up. No they aren't corner weighted, trying to corner weight a deck is just a waste of money. You'd never get it right. The only time a car warrants being corner weighted is a track going/prepped car for optimal balance.
  6. Couldn't disagree more with coilovers being unpractical for the road. I have a them on my deck and yes, I've lost a little practicality, but this is because of the lows, but this is because they aren't mb specific as I had a set of EK's. The ride is actually not far off standard and it corners 10 times better having had a FRSU done. The 'amateur' way is sleeves or chopped springs. And as for setting up, if you take your time and align them properly, have the correct pre load height etc. Not quite sure who 'slaps coilovers on and eyes it up'
  7. Im missing that thought process??? lol
  8. Always fun to have fuel covered hands, arms, clothes, face !! ha Nice link on the vac hoses mate! May well have to get myself some
  9. Again as Krzys has said, the Miesters arent that bad .. I paid £750 with a discount for my HSD's for my EK .. And there are plenty of variations to be had on those .. As it happens, they work bloody well on the deck too lol
  10. Well thats always nice to have in the garage
  11. Looking good mate .. Makes a difference! Did you literally just get lengths of tube in different diametres?
  12. Could be .. Not sure how you'd check on standard shocks .. But i know my coilovers, i measured them all perfectly and had them side by side etc and the deck wont sit perfectly level on any surface except a workshop! there are plenty of surfaces you think are level that arent!
  13. So much win on this page ... Love it .. That last thing though ........
