Good call

Totally agree. Great cars and are worth looking after. Forget others who see it as a 'Rover' or whatever, these cars are under rated...and i like that in a car as we know, as owners, that they are great, fast, practical cars with a good size boot for family stuff!

Ordered MOTUL brake fluid on SUNDAY from Opie.....still waiting for it. At the time of ordering, in the online checkout section, they offered me guaranteed fast delivery for an additional £10. I thought seeing i'm ordering it on the Sunday it would be here by normal post by Thursday at the very latest. Not the case. I have a very busy weekend ahead and wanted this done before then as i can use my work ramps/pit jacks rather than t**ing about with boot jacks and single wheels off at a time scenario for bleeding. (don't have axle stands as my work has ramps etc) Phoned Opie to make sure the order was actually processed as couldn't believe a simply order could take over 5 days. They just said it should be with me by Friday or give them a phone if nothing. Shocking postage service. I understand that it's not Opie themselves that are delivering it but they should use a half decent courier/1st class service for normal orders and charge accordingly. Rant over

Nice clean car mate! Good find! Aa mentioned above, check out peoples build threads and decide what is best for YOU. I read the forums and learned whats best and chose stuff that suited my needs/wants! I like your idea of keeping the car looking stock, lesser of a chance of being stolen and also a true sleeper!

As said before, i hope your car goes to a club member that will appreciate all the effort that has went into it and also to respect the memories you had with the car by not putting a stupid max power bodykit and flashing neons under it! I know whoever buys Ruby can do what they want but if it goes to a recognised member then you will have a chance of it being looked after....... .....and know it will be in good condition when you buy it for a 3rd time!- 627 replies

I tend to leave mine in gear on any incline and as i always dip clutch to start the car. Been taught to dip clutch when starting a car since driving lesson as instructor said it makes the car easier to start with the weight off the components! I still do this as it's just habit now! Not sure it makes a difference tbh but do it anyway!

Not as far as i know. There are uber rare MB rails but they are like hens teeth, if they were similar rails that fitted the MB then these would not be so sought after!!
-
Sounds that way but i thought i'd mention it as it was relevant! Probably just my luck that it just happened to me!

P.s like the brakes!

Just thought i would share my experience with new/refurbed caliper i got for my n/s/r. Once fitted the new caliper (euro carparts) i couldnt get a decent pedal. I had a decent pedal BEFORE the new caliper but not after new one fitted. Took new caliper back and got replacement. Turns out the new (2nd) caliper came with a red and yellow warning tag on it saying "do not move the adjustment lever until fitted and bled". OOPS! But the first caliper i got didn't have a warning tag on it so I had been fiddling with the handbrake lever thinking "this is well free and loose". I can only inagine that doing this caused some sort of air lock inside the caliper but as i didnt muck around with replacement...the pedal was fine. Just mentioning this as it could be the same problem of poor pedal, even after bleeding for an hour! Hope this all made sense as i re-read all this and i'm thinking... "good luck"!

It's standard on the vti-s matey! But you can buy it. It's described as a 'vti-s lip kit'. Not that expensive but you will need it painted etc.
