  1. I never moaned (did I)?! It was more of a comment I couldn't have done the suspension swap without another civic5 member 1"£££$££"!! I know dude, it was for dramatic flare! I'm poor with tools on the mechanical side of things, my older brother used to just take on all of those jobs so I never learnt to do it myself! Starting to teach myself things with help from the Haynes bible!
  2. Cheers dude! Once you've created the image you want you'll need to upload it to somewhere like photobucket or imageshack, then in "My control panel" at the top of any page under quick links you'll be able to edit it there! I believe you need x amount of posts too! Hope that helps!
  3. That's a standard one, 90% of people have had to have them replaced because the old ones held/let in water and as you can see from this picture, rust! Yeah the ones I've seen have never had the standard one on, I don't blame them either!
  4. Thanx man, And yes I did. But not sure if I will be keeping these headlights. Was thinking of getting some new ones with nice clean lenses and just do the inside black. Not sure what to do tbh.. Haha me neither, but took the risk and they turned out better than I fort they would. This blue theme will look great when I finish Nice My red/black theme came about by accident! Fitted my skirts because I was getting impatient with a view to colour coding them but I'm not sure I'll end up doing that now!
  5. As I said to Andrew the other day, it's the first forums I've been on that have been an actual community! You reckon dude? I do like the stance with the front slightly lower than that back! Cheers both! Really happy with the car at the moment and the look with the Pirate black VTi-S skirts is growing on me!
  6. This is coming along nicely! Did you smoke the headlights the same way as the rears then? Didn't think the blue calipers were a good idea but seeing them on the car they actually do look really good!
  7. It's a good drive out though! Love the country!
  8. Sure, once I've done all my neighbours who walk past and make the same suggestion. ...and you pay for my petrol costs iabs open all the way. Sure, I managed Nottingham - Norwich - Nottingham on half a tank of fuel so £30-5 should cover it
  9. Have you done the other rear caliper yet dude or have you been putting it off? Sounds like you've been busy with a few bits though! I'm still chuffed with the front forks on mine!

    Mazda Mx5

There's a man in your box dude! I'd never fit in a seat like that haha!
  11. What kind of smoke? Could be water stood in the exhaust?
  12. I'll be leaving it as for now, depends how money is later, I'll either go with eibach springs or go for Meister R coilovers!
  13. Yesterday I took a short drive from Nottingham to Norwich, which may I add is "A fine city!" So first off.... (I posted this on Tom's facebook after he moaned no one ever posts full tanks of fuel! ) This will be a before reference! Now for the during/after shots! One side done! Drivers side before! Bit of a random shot but I thought it looked cool My arch has grown a Noodels! Turns out he was kind enough to grease my nuts for me, how nice of him! Here's an after shot, can tell she's sat lower at the front now! An a random peering shot. I tell you what, the test drive after was shocking, I had no idea how different she would feel! The steering feels lighter, the gear changes feel smoother! The front end is tighter and just generally feels a lot better to throw around! Also while just generally pottering around she feels smoother and a pleasure to drive! So I'd like to say a massive Thank You to Noodels for fitting them for me, he's a top bloke and full of useful knowledge! Also he makes a decent cuppa! The Deck looks mint in person too!
  14. I wouldn't go to high with the revs, the bottom end of the engine was not build for high revvin. I think the best you can go to be save with the ITR cams and valvesprings is around 8,5- 8,7 Krpms. Even 8.7k would go a long way towards the second gear let down
  15. Looks alright for the money youth! There's an MOT history check website in the links section! viewtopic.php?f=20&t=9452 Looking forward to seeing the progress on this!
  16. Didn't even notice it wasn't a 200 one till you pointed that out Tom!

    Upside down amps

Only reason I can think is the heat it generates might not escape, does it have a cooling fan or could one be used? Only advice I can offer is to run it upside down before mounting it and see if you get any problems with it! Hope this helps!
  18. screen saver Under normal circumstances my Civic gets a full tank every time she visits the watering hole! Or should that petroleum hole? What I was saying that most people don't take photos of it then, most pics on here are down in the last 1/4! I'm visiting the petroleum hole tonight, I'll be sure to get a picture for you
  19. Wow mega clean bay! Love it! Is it the same usual 96-00 Civic Dampers? Or is there one more specific for the M/B18? Loving the ITR cams idea! I'm looking at options with the cams and valvetrain too as I want more revs! What size hose did you have to used for the IM? I've got the ITR airbox on standard IM at the minute and am looking at Edlebrock, Blox and Skunk2...
  20. Like you said dude, the worst they can do is tell you to take it off, then wait a few weeks and have it done again
