the wastegate had a grub screw loose, turned and went through vacuum line. anyway the 1.6 has lasted, 15 runs up shakeys and driven like its stolen the rest of the time. 331whp 255lb/ft am actually starting to do confident mapping, may even do my mates pulsar. is leaking water from the coolant bar on the back (previous lads handy work) stem seals are on the way out play in turbo (new one on the way...) over crimbo plan to do headgasket and the above launch control https://youtu.be/aX2iygLuvHk closedcourse... https://youtu.be/GoSK1KQjVI8

BK in boost not sure how long it'll last though... Don't hate on me...I have a b16a2 in a deck , it was close and cheap, i don't trust it in the slightest but I have at least a spare engine to give the works. It has been sat for 2 years, the timing was out one tooth on the exhaust cam, diy port and polish with s**ts loads of alloy in the sump, I may have salvaged it in time as it sounds pretty sweet atm, leaks a fair amount of oil, burns little. it was cheap and close though and the lexus did'nt do it for me in the slightest. Ah and what killed the old motor was.........Unlimited boost as I have now found out no wonder it felt ridiculously fast,,,muppet, hey ho. https://youtu.be/hIbs2B9iAuwthe new one proper wastegate needed was still overboosting

will be getting another one soon, will get a lower psi spring and take it to the dyno straight away so i know when to back the power off. this block will probably get the works. no DET, plugs are fine, one is just wet. bank 4 went. more than likely a sleeve anyway, to check, topped up with coolant to see water entering the cylinder,,,too much for just a headgasket/head lift.

I did the mapping. I am very of the mind set a little knowledge is the worst knowledge. I wouldn't feel comfortable mapping other software/engines just quite yet. As long as core principles are followed, Hondata is awesome, it pretty much does it all for you anyway. It would probably have taken longer to kill if it was just detonating. Have the data logs, no det, AFR's flat 11, 8 psi. would have been 400+ given the set up. I was shy on the numbers previously due to hoping but realisticly higher. the yanks get 400 on shat fuel and less timing have driven a 450hp GT4 that took an AMG, 480 pulsar, almera 340 I know its been awhile since i was in something quick. ^^^ those are rediculous but i was never scared,,,this did. Knew i had issues as it felt slower, taking longer to hit boost, very steamy through breather setup, so crank pressure issue, thought i resolved it. Took the lad who owns almera out,,,pop. even at that point he said it was quicker.

You can make the power on a budget. Doesn't mean you can keep it... Dropped a sleeve. Map was spot on, couldn't have been any smoother. Wanted Silver MC2 The engine is now a longterm project.

Cheers only things left to do is fit injectors and get downpipe made this weekend. power, can only run 10 psi untill i get a new map sensor, given the specs, should still be around 270/80 mark.

Havent had chance to look into this Just wondering if anyone knew if the plug was there for a knock sensor. Also since the wiring is obd1 does it have the plug for an injector resistor box. Seatched a couple if places and get different info.

fine and dark art.

that tracking is minutely out, going off of those pics. like said toe kills the tyres, camber only does when its extreme camber like stance camber then you'll have issues.
