It hasn't. It's 4.4fd but has a relatively long 5th.Top speed is higher on the s9b. Probably 155mph on the right size wheels. I used to find my M struggling at high speed although it would top out 5th with enough road. The eg with a bit more power no problem getting up there at all. Also I don't miss the lsd at all either. I rarely launch the car and cornering is unaffected imo.3 points

Find the model code for your Civic hereJust look for the engine size your civic has and the year the car was made to find the correct code. 1.4i 5 DOOR CIVIC HATCHBACK 1995-1997 = MA8 1.4i 5 DOOR CIVIC HATCHBACK 1997-2001 = MB2 1.5i 5 DOOR CIVIC HATCHBACK 1995-1997 = MA9 1.5i 5 DOOR CIVIC HATCHBACK 1997-2000 = MB3 1.6i 5 DOOR CIVIC HATCHBACK 1995-1997 = MB1 1.6i 5 DOOR CIVIC HATCHBACK 1997-2001 = MB4 1.8i 5 DOOR CIVIC HATCHBACK 1997-2001 = MB6 2.0td 5 DOOR CIVIC HATCHBACK 1997-2001 = MB7 1.4i 5 DOOR CIVIC AERODECK 1997-2001 = MB8 1.5i 5 DOOR CIVIC AERODECK 1997-2001 = MB9 1.6i 5 DOOR CIVIC AERODECK 1997-2001 = MC1 1.8i 5 DOOR CIVIC AERODECK 1997-2001 = MC2 2.0td 5 DOOR CIVIC AERODECK 1998-2001 = MC3 The model code can also be found in the engine bay, on your civics chassis plate. The vehicle chassis number will have the code in it. Click here to view the article3 points

Wheel Guide (still under construction) We frequently get asked " will these wheels fit my Civic M?" or what does offset/pcd mean? So we put together this diagram page to make it eaier to understand, and make finding the right wheels for your Civic M a whole lot easier THE PCD This is the diameter of an imaginary circle drawn through the centre of the bolt holes. The P.C.D. of the wheel should match the P.C.D. that your car came with as standard. P.C.D. is measured in mm. e.g: 4x100 means the wheel has 4 bolt holes and the diameter of the imaginary circle through the bolt holes is 100mm. The image above shows the P.C.D. THE OFFSET / ET The offset determines how far under the arch or how far towards the outer arch a wheel will sit. Each car has its optimum offset and a range within which the offset can be for the wheel to fit the car properly. If the offset is too low for the range allowed, the wheel could stick out from the side of the car, if too high from what it should be the wheel may catch on the suspension or bodywork as it will be too far under the car. This is due to the fact that if you put a wheel on your hub with a higher offset than before, the wheels bolting face will have to move further under the car to meet the hub, in extreme cases causing the wheel to sit too far under. If you take a wheel and cut it in half and draw a line down the centre of the width of the alloy wheel the offset will be the distance between the back face (mounting face) of the wheel and the centre line that you have just drawn. The offset is commonly shown as the letters ET followed by a number, eg: ET45. The offset is always measured in mm and can normally be found stamped on the back of the wheel or behind the centre cap (if fitted). Below is a diagram of how the ET is obtained Wheel size 4x100 14" and 15" ( ET 45 ) | CIVIC MA8 MA9 MB1 MB2 MB3 MB4 MB7 MB8 5 DOOR HATCHBACKS. MB9 & MC1 CIVIC AERODECK ESTATES Wheel size 4x114 15" ( ET 55 ) | CIVIC MB6 VTi AND VTiS 5 DOOR HATCH BACKS. MC2 CIVIC AERODECK VTi AND VTiS ESTATES Click here to view the article2 points

Only a very few of these cars have actual obd2 connectors, I think it may only be the MB4 but it's definitely only the very last of the production run (year 2000 cars). If your car has one it will be on the passenger side of the centre console, if not you'll have to bridge the pins on the connector like the rest of us, it's in the passenger footwell just under the glovebox, far left.2 points

So turns out my local garage has a new head mechanic who's got a built b16 eg! Asked him about this topic and he got back to me with a list of non-OEM parts (Nipparts, Gates, Airtex) that he guarantees are OEM quality. 250€ (205£) for cambelt + tensioner, water pump and 2 aux belts (don't need a aircon belt). I think i'm going with this one.1 point

In actually made one of those years ago out of a Civic MB1 (pre-facelift SR) seat. Was excellent, although have to advise that they tend to be back heavy, so are prone to tipping backwards! Especially when you're not actually sitting in it, and just trying to move it. Very very easy to make though, did mine in around an hour I think.1 point
