To be honest I think we're all fighting a battle with these, let's face it the youngest of them are 13 years old and most of us use them as daily drivers on terrible roads with lowered/stiffened suspension so these things do happen, unfortunately sometimes everything happens at once. Hopefully the exhaust may just have been knocked and need some adjusting and once you get some of the other bits done you'll start enjoying it again.2 points

I'm running 15s at the mo coz I've still got my winter tyres on but i normally have 17s. The 15s do feel quicker to accelerate, but feel a bit more flighty, and i like the feeling of grip that the 17s give... Harder to turn the wheel, but nice. I think that all things being equal, 16s would be the best compromise.2 points

I've researched quite a bit about MG ZS rack. It deffinitely is faster. You can see here that it has around 2.5 lock to lock - http://www.zscentral.com/phpbb/zs-high-ratio-steering-rack-and-other-r400-zs-bits-t4430.html#p77351 MB6 has 3.28 lock to lock. So it will be noticable. Now will it fit.. First I asked a very popular car breaker here in Bulgaria that deals only with rover, mg and uk civic's. He said the rack will 99% fit in our car. Easy, take the door card off to make it easier, then pull off the tweeter or cover depending what the MB3 has and it'll reveal the tree bolts that hold it to the door. Obviously disconnect the electrics as well, another good reason to take the door card off1 point

To sharpen the steering feel you need to stiffen the chassis. This can be done with braces ie a better strut brace up top. Bushes will help too and so would stiffer suspension. The standard brace is good however one item I've got on my list is a 3 point brace as this links the two strut tower tops and the firewall. this reduces flex between the towers moving in and out and back and forth with the firewall. Thought this was relevant in this thread Banzai Crail Thrash & Dash yesterday, don't think the wee civic did to badly to be honest (for anyone who doesn't know, induction kit exhaust and coilovers but otherwise stock, and sitting on seriously cheap w****r tires)1 point

OK so my budy club P1 extended ball joints are fitted which has given me 15mm more travel on the lower arm. The upper part of the hub has had 17mm cut out of the arm and welded back together. Her as some pics. After a few coats of hammerite everything is now back together. With the roll center now being lowered i had to unwind the hight adjuster on my coilovers by 20mm to bring it back up to the ride hight i wanted. Its now sitting perfectly and wow the difference when driving is insane. No more knocking, such a smooth ride( as smooth as can be on coilovers anyway). The camber is way out now, has a small amount of positive by the looks of it. So next thing is back to the alignment place to have camber reset to how i like it and also check to see if the caster has changed after the hub was cut and rewelded. It feels fine though, tracks straight as an arrow on hard acceleration and braking.1 point

went for a drive earlier and i start hearing a low grumbling and i think oh poo maybe a spring has come out, so i pull over and its a flat tyre lol My 2nd flat tyre ever! so out comes the space saver ? im sure it cant of had that from new, anyway its bright orange and very dodgy to drive on!1 point

Well, there is enough space if you move heater panel approx 5-6cm lower than it is in original. First I did was to unscrew the heater panel and srew it to thesame holes but lower. This way ideal 2 DIN hole was created. I purchased a spare console just to cut the down part of the radio frame - so from 2 consoles (2 orginal frames) i created one which looks close to OEM frame.1 point

Yes...it's a shame about the deck...!!! But i need a daily driver without tons of problems to fix. If i could afford 2 cars i would have kept the deck as my project car...but since i know myself better, it will not last long until i start buying new parts for my daily. 18 or 19" wheels plus lowereing the car to the ground is already on my wish list Looks very good imo:1 point

Bored at 2am? Why not play with fog lights! They're so bright, much better than the old bulbs. Also my MB3 has turned a weird shade of yellowy-green. Plan for next weekend is to start servicing the MB6. Getting timing belt, engine oil and gearbox oil done first, then spark plugs and spark plug leads a little later on. Not changing the air filter because I'm getting either a DC2 airbox or a Whale Schlong anyway.1 point

Rear speakers installed .... In the future, insulation of the entire trunk ..... Pictures: Nothing much, but it's far better than just the front .... Do not watch headcovers backrests I will change them!1 point

About power: If you have the budget and you want big gains - turbo is the way to go. (And IMHO the only way on this motor for decent power) If you want to stay NA - hybrid gearbox and new clutch are the best thing you can do, believe me I tried it all. Just like MFactory says - "THE Replacement for Displacement!"1 point

yeah too long, nearly a year... again.... still a lot of progress done in a short time.. the light's came from raz s the fog lights were a "didn't know i had them" so modded the mount's and got them fitted, look quite good. the plate is there as a temp measure till i get the no plate holder's, and new plates. < ordered and on there way to me... yeah an unwanted de-badge, gonna need to pop in to honda at some point...1 point
