Got my temporary bootlid to a point where I can use it. I fudged the paint up.. well for the best part it looked really good. You will see in the pics where I didn't put enough lacquer in number plate area. But can probably polish that out. But there was a couple of runs (what happens when painting in the dark with led light) so sanded the runs out and vinyl wrapped it for now. Better luck next time. The original boot is gonna be painted same colour as wheels when I've decided.

And will need to get some 1200 paper yeah? For flattening between colours
-
I would get hose off red valve and put a bolt in it or something to plug it. Then run a spare piece of hose from valve to bottle. Obviously the valve is never gonna experience vacuum as it should. But you will see if oil is pushing out when driving
-
Block it up on intake mani. And run pipe into a bottle see what comes through. Not ideal long term as no vac to pull

Cool thanks mate. Will any grey primer do? I have plasticote grey primer already
-
Yeah just it's 6 quid a can 😅 wanna use as little as possible
-
Erm dunno yet. Want to get them all to this stage.. then hoping someone can tell me what to do??? That's a whole can of primer. Bit much? Either anthracite again or more than likely matt black this time I think

Right on it car bonnet. Been busy sanding and filling and got one wheel primered now... So farvso good kerbing gone looking very nice a smooth etc. So what's next???? Been using this btw.. good for wheels because you can powder coat over it.

Is chap who did the work aware of the differences between intake and exhaust valve stem seals??? Ie they are colour coded.
-
That's a bit naughty. If ya were trying to order drop links you would be very disappointed if ya didn't know any better.
-
Oh. Not sure what else to say. So new stem seals on there. Oem? Or aftermarket? Hg all good?? All head bolts torqued up?

5 30 is a tad thin. Not sure how much difference it might make as I don't use it. I either use valvoline or Mobil 10w 40

Thanks guys. Holy mackerel would love to do a nurburg trip. But can't imagine I would be allowed the spendo or the time away from kids. Mrs would s**t herself at the thought of having them alone for more than a day!!!
