Ooya beanpole. Fn would look like a 4x4

Random pic found it novel how small it is compared to newish cars.

They were off civiclife.net I had no idea until car was mapped. Then investigated. Now I know how to identify type r cams they have unique markings on them. But yeah kinda maxed this engine out for a budget setup. Yasir who mapped it said it will go a bit more with aftermarket valve springs raise limit may make 3hp more. We both agreed it would be a waste of money and time. As have had a good result as is

Type r head with our pistons will lower compression.I swapped turbo bits for these. Although I have a another set in the shed that I bought last year. There not what they should have been. Still don't know ow what engine they are from.
-
1 Hard to say, it now makes stock 170hp at about 6800rpm. Rev limits at around 8500. I'll have to dig out dyno sheet from when engine was in mb6 all standard. See how it compares.
-
To be honest I do love my setup as is. Very quick up top serious feels like you been shunted up the rear by a bus when ya plant it in 2nd gear. But I do think the standard ecu and iabs are better for general driving about. Defo.
-
yeah true it does despite skunks claims. It's more like a b16 now. I have plugged most vac lines. Just using bare minimum. Pcv. Brake servo. Fpr. It made more sense with oem throttle but aftermarket has no vac ports so binned off all the emissions s**te.

Sell your sleeves if your not going to use them. Gumtree local for a quick sale maybe?
-
Well one thing I can tell you is my mum hasn't got a figure like that!
-
What in the blazes!

What's it doing there? Get It on!Skunk website shows how to check. Few things give it away. How runners join plenum and where iacv hole is and shape.
-
it was missing when I bought it 2nd hand. Had fears it wasn't genuine to start with but it all checks out hence can bore it out to 70mm. Then pay ted it myself with engine enamel again
-
Cheers chaps. Not normally too bothered about stuff like this but have got a bit excited about making it look ok. One more thing tho defo need to make a skunk sticker for my intake.

Looks really nice man. Let's have a look at these top hats then. Looked at getting some from states but mega pricey

Not teaching to suck eggs... But I always find with the impact gun. Obviously hold the button down but also try to turn the gun with you hand anticlockwise. If I get a stubborn one. Like my crank pulley the other week. That method always works for me.

Haha like it. Quirky little cars. Big fan of a copen myself

Do it man. I love it. Was what I rocked on the mb. That's where that plug cover came from. May be a bit of a clash red and green. But oh well I think I like it

Bit of rain nd darkness doesn't stop me!

Simonize engine enamel. It's good s**t. Lasted maybe 3 years?? Only just started lookin bit scruffy. More from handling it so much than anything else. Then I just lacquered the plug cover. I haven't been using it for a ages but fancied a change and a sticker!

Better shot...

Been hunting leak can't find it. Maybe residual from recent work. Will have to keep an eye on it. While cover was off again spruced it up. Lick of paint n all that! Maybe random but the head looked a little dry to me. What do people think? But I did clean everything whilst doing cams and I've thrashed it here there and everywhere and seems ok.
-
See I have a little 18v dewalt impact driver too with is great for smaller stuff like that. That was quite dear tho. But work payed for that!
-
Treat yourself. My impact gun was 65 quid. It's a Clarke one from machine mart. It's awesome 550nm I think. That crank bolt will come out like it was only in hand tight!!

I'd be looking at grinding your front fork down for 10-15mm. I think your heading for a car that handles very peculiarly with all these mixed springs and shocks. So if it's all good at the minute. Mod the fork!
