  1. need to get some more vids done from a better angle, and an overdue outside one
  2. 5th still pulls nicely on the motorway. when I change to 3rd from top revs in 2nd (60mph... on the motorway of course) it pulls even better and takes off (for 10mph to 70) will try and get some more vids of different stuff
  3. righty-ho... quick vid from today... change down to 1st, round a junction, floor it through 1st and 2nd to 60, then up to 5th. quite a slow change from 1st to 2nd though http://vimeo.com/49516181 can't embed vids to save my life...

  5. cool. well, have just done a mpg check over 415 miles - about 300 was driving gently running things in still, but the last bunch was heavy on the vtec and it's came out at just under 33mpg... pretty happy with that

I know... feckers! will just trust my own sponge in the future ahh well, if it needs a spray, I think it's probs the last panel (apart from the roof) that hasn't tasted paint since the factory, and there's a few stone chips now after 153k miles, so not all bad I suppose... just could have done without it after shelling out on the gearbox. oh, and MOT on friiday (fingers crossed) might try and get the video tomorrow
  7. does it happen when you've driven the car and got it up to temperature, then leave it for 20-30 mins, and it happens for a few mins after you start driving it again? if so, mine does that, has done for 6 years, is no better or worse than it was and I haven't tracked down what it is - it's as if the choke is out when it's already warm (if it was 20 years ago ) someone's suggested the engine temp sensor, but haven't had it checked yet.
  8. boooo got my car washed at one of these valet places in multi storey car parks at shopping centres, and afterwards noticed this big scratch along the front of my bonnet. it looks like there's been a bit of grit or something on the cloth.. I went back and had a word with the guy and he said it was an old scratch, if they drop a cloth they replace it blah blah blah... I said i knew i couldn't prove anything, but won't be going back... only reason i went is because i don't have time at the mo. although, if it didn't happen then, it means it must have been keyed some time still, on the plus side, i decided that my gear box has ran in, so had some fun on the hour drive on a and b roads home from my mam's, and all i can say is
  9. mmmm sounds tasty bud I know peeps say they're identical (they're not...) but i even noticed a difference in low end grunt with my dc2 4-2-1 interested to know how the cams go...

  11. I got a handful of bearings changed while the box was in bits - makes sense keep an eye on eBay for integra fly wheels - you can pick them up for pennies (literally if you can collect instead of paying postage).
  12. Go on now go, walk out the door, don't turn around now.... and 3.5k @ 70 Lovely! I bet she's nice and quiet compared with before then! I think this has to be worth investing in, better acceleration and a higher top end, you can't go far wrong! I'm properly happy with the results - even just pootling around. It feels so much easier to drive... much more willing, but more laid back. wierd
  13. aye - you can. Don't feel the need to change down as much Will be interested to see how far 1st goes now - feels like it's pretty short.
