don't think that there's a longer final drive in standard b-series boxes than ours... see here: http://www.ff-squad.com/tech/temp/Bgears.htm

and if I just put the 4.7fd in and left 5th as it was it'd be 3900 at 70mph http://www.teammfactory.com/gearcalculator.php?kmh=0&tirewidth=195&tireprofile=55&wheelsize=15&tirediameter1=23.44&maxrpm1=8000&finaldrive1=4.26&gearratio1=3.23&gearratio2=1.9&gearratio3=1.36&gearratio4=1.034&gearratio5=0.848&gearratio6=0&trannytype=&tirewidth2=195&tireprofile2=55&wheelsize2=15&tirediameter2=23.44&maxrpm2=8000&finaldrive2=4.7&gearratioa=3.23&gearratiob=1.9&gearratioc=1.36&gearratiod=1.034&gearratioe=0.848&gearratiof=0&trannytype=&tranny=Calculate+Transmission+1+%26+2

I don't mind dropping it down to 4th if I need a quick boost, and the rest of the gears should be nice and lively

This is what the m-factory gear calculator works it out as... http://www.teammfactory.com/gearcalcula ... on+1+%26+2 The red lines are the standard S9 ratios and the blue are what I'll end up with

got my old arb bolts extracted today and some new ones popped in... the bolts on the other side (that hadn't sheared) were rounded off and probably gonna go pretty soon. the guy had to drill the sheared ones, re-tap them and ended up putting a third bolt in that side! it's great now - it's like when i first got the arb fitted lesson of the tale... don't use bolts from b&q to hold an arb onto your chassis

x2 I'm about 5'11 (with a long back) and my head nearly touches the roof with mine. do quite like the position though compared to the standard seats... would just prefer them to be a bit lower. i used the brackets off the standard seats onto the ep3 rails.

boo... just had to book in another trip to the body shop - noticed a white patch on the passenger door at the jet wash this morning, sprayed it and a patch of paint came off - someone must have hit the door in a car park and damaged the paint enough to loosen it... arse
