  1. Loving the close up photos of the side of your car. Engine bay looks sweet too
  2. That's alright, I will be re-spraying the Fezzy matte black and stick a load of Monster and Ken Block stickers on it Might aswell have a bit of fun before it goes scrappy when MOT is up. It's rotted on the rear arches. So much welding has been done to it already. Typical Ford...
  3. Good to see everyone had a cracking time at Japfest! All of your M's really looked in business! Right... I have now got over my moments and now back on my feet with another car. It have to be the worst car I have ever driven so far. It's a MK5 Ford Fiesta 1.3 (Kent Pre-Crossflow engine) Despite it's a typical gutless rust bucket, it was free! My boss bought it for me to get myself to work, nice of him! I hope to get a Aerodeck sometime in the beggining of next year. I was looking at other Jap estate cars but none of them really tick the boxes. So an MC2 Aerodeck it is! This also means I can keep the remaining parts from my MB3, VTi-S side skirts, spare headlights and all the rest of it. I still haven't even started stripping down my MB3. Now got a lot of catching up to do on here
  4. Today I was planning to start stripping the car down... but I just can't do it! Do any of you know if the whole chassis is in one piece?
  5. Thanks again for the comments guys. I have finally got her back from the pound I cannot describe how devastated I am right now. It almost feel that I will never get over it. I know it's just a car and I could get another one, but I cannot be bothered to get another car at the moment. In fact, I can't even afford to buy a car. I'm left with 9 quid in the bank after paying out £350 for recovery charges. My insurance won't pay out because I'm on third party and my apprenticeship ends this Friday. I also got to pay out for the barrier I crashed in to... So things are very tough right now. Now the car... Unfortunately she cannot be repaired. The damage has gone too far. The chassis looks like it almost torn off and the gearbox housing has completely cracked right through with a couple holes on the bell housing. But the engine is still all in one piece but I don't think it's even worth keeping the engine. Now the bit I really going to hate is stripping her...
  6. Thanks for the comments guys. Luckily it was just me and the car. Has to happen before Japfest huh, but it was my fault... Basically i done a twat move by applying the brakes on a bend in a rainy day on a slippery deep hill (steep fast lane) I braked a bit harder than I should and the back end started kicking out. My automatic reaction was to steer the opposite way to straighten her up, but I can see I was moving fast into the metal barrier... I can see everything happening in slow motion and knew it was going to end in tears... After hitting the barrier, the car spun around 360 degree. After the accident I just sat there wanting to cry but I went to check if everybody else around me was ok. I was amazed I didn't hit anyone on a busy road! A bloke behind me rang the ambulance and the police turned up within seconds. Police took my details and got a recovery truck (only to find out I now have to pay 350 quid for the recovery charges!) I got a mate who is picking up my car with a trailer sometime tomorrow. Get it at the workshop and see if she can be repaired (I doubt it looking at the chassic) If not, I will get another shell. I will keep you lot upto date. Cheers
  7. White it is then... Na I'm sticking to bronze because I know I will regret doing the wheels white. But it looks so damn good!
  8. But they're small white wheels though
  9. Yeah I'm really liking the rat paint job too If I had an oldskool motor like this, it would be 'Mad Max' style
  10. Well... I haven't polished it everyday. I polished it a few days back and then a few light polish today. I am a bit of a newbie when it comes to detailing as I usually just stick to the basic cleaning. But seeing some members rides on here, I got to make a start... Thinking about it now, I am just putting layers on top of layers so like you said, its looking hazy (photos don't do it justice) I will write those products down and see what I can do. Hopefully I can get a good deal on them
  11. I'm exactly the same. I don't like modifying original parts like headlights for an example
  12. No I haven't... I been halfords yesterday to get the clay bar kit but I cannot afford 30 - 40 quid. Got paint to pay for the wheels So I'm trying to find a cheaper alternative
  13. I quite like the sound of the Autoglym SRP. I will have a look around tomorrow. Cheers Nick
  14. I was talking to a few people about that stuff. Think I will do a bit of shopping at Halfrauds tomorrow. The products I have got are a few years old so maybe that's why
  15. Turtlewax polishing compound. Quite old stuff now but I think I will have to give it a good T-cut
  16. Oh yeah I have forgot to mention, I spent about 3 - 4 hours T-cutting it in the workshop last week. Might have to give another go
  17. Beautiful Deck, looks very very CLEAN! Loving the wheels too
  18. Bloody hell! The fluid seriously needed changing. I guess that what probably caused the clutch system to fail... Very nice goodies there
  19. Cool! Not long now till it's back on the road for some vtec'ing
  20. I haven't been keeping upto date due to other commitments... My apprenticeship course ends just the day before Japfest and got exams coming up next week too! So I got a fair bit going on but that haven't stopped me preparing my car The wheels were finally sand blasted and now been ech primered. I will be applying a few coats of normal primer and then it will be resprayed, but now I cannot decide to do them in white or satin bronze! I have also been washing and polishing my car once a day (twice today) but it's still not coming up with that deep shine like it use too
  21. Guys... I been washing and polishing my car all day today and it cannot seem to get that deep shine like it use too Just looking at this Maguiar's spray wax and apparently it's good stuff. Would this be ok to use after polishing the car? Cheers
  22. Ah sh*t... I hope the splitter comes out better next time
