James' Silver low Mb4 build. COTM winner November 2013
Krzys replied to jamestopdog's topic in Honda Civic MA/MB/MC
I was a passenger in an IS200, wasn't that quick, was bad on fuel and despite the size of the car, cabin space wasn't great! Just wasn't that impressed with it, V6 noise wasn't enough to compensate for the disappointment -
Feel the same way about the M at the minute, just got the interior pretty much sorted and now the "could be anything" running issue!
-
Should be on sometime today then mate! Facebook mods are members/mods on here

Looks like a good meet and a nice variety of Hondas to look at! -
If it's not the fueling, (Ie if the fuel isn't brown out of the filter) then I'll order a cap, rotor, plugs and leads and see what happens, then if it's still bad I'd get a coil and module. If after that it's still bad, a gallon of fuel and a lighter

The Bristol meet must have been really pushing it then! Good job Japfest isn't as far north as that! -
They probably won't! I took out breakdown cover this morning (it ran out just after crimbo) just in case my plan goes t1ts up and I end up stranded somewhere! But from what I can tell it's strain on the engine which seems to cause it and its funny that if you hold the revs at 3k and gun she, she reacts as she should, but do the same from say 2,500rpm and she just dies, unless you lift off then after a second of two she'll come back before the revs drop low enough to stall...

God help him should he ever end up at John O'Groats! -
Had an idea, but the problem is when I can do it because of spending all day at work and it being dark when I get home. I want to pull the fuel line off where it meets the rail to check what state the fuel is as it reaches the injectors, I'm expecting red in it from the injector cleaner I put into the tank but as long as it's not any other colour I would think the fuel is "clean". If it is and I can get the car to run I'm going to attempt to take her for a run up and down a duel carriageway, if I can get her there she tends to do alright as there's no strain, then run the cleaner through and tank up with VPower and some more cleaner added and see what happens? If she is still the same then I will look at the ignition side!

He'd never drive that far, it's almost up north -

I know of both of those words, go me!! Could it be the blower motor itself? Think that's in the same area as the resister! -
He was probably right until it comes off from behind, but if it is moisture causing it then it sounds like bad prep to me! Hopefully he will just sort it without giving you grief!
-
Gone from an Audi to a VW, almost the same car
-
That sucks! My full respray on the EK cost me £3000 back in 2008, still looks mint when I see it around! Even caught her parked up so had a proper gander and nearly 6 years on the paint is still spot on......you get what you pay for!
-
Looks completely different in the two pictures that Accord, very smart though! I can't go low like that, far too many speed bumps and pot holes, hate hearing my car scrape! Plus you've even said it gets to a point of being un-drivable, no point if you can't use it
-
Many goodies for £2k! Can't wait to find out what you've got planned! Good luck with the bosses c0ck!

All good then! Hopefully get her dried out a bit and cleaned up inside! -
VTi-S kit for me, had it both contrasting and genuine colour coded!
-
I put a pair of Linglong Green-Max on the front of mine, £30 a corner in the standard 195/55 size and for the money in the wet I can't grumble! Rated quite high for wet performance too!
-
Good base once the gearbox is sorted! Other than that it's a bargain!

Yeah the lens inside go yellow, if you decide to paint the chrome inside them black then you could deal with it at the same time!

Had a chat with my brother, think the sensible thing to do is get a data logger on and see what's happening.
