  1. so after my partners pug 106 quiksilver started have more problems then it was worth we sold it on. she wanted another civic as missed her ej9 and me having a civic didnt help. she wanted on bit bigger then the ej9 as kids now older so found a eu8 civic with 12 months mot and was in good shape. it was stock apart from some 17 inch alloys. i managed to find so ep3 type r bumpers and skirts cheap so got those. fitted front bumper and as rear bumper so to short for car i made plan to make rear lip fit. as the ep3 side skirt wasnt going fit and car already had side skirts i cut the end of the skirts off to extend rear lip. need fill join better but that be done in time. after more searching found so lowering springs, back box and projector headlights from a ep2 going cheap so had get them. once got took headlights apart and did inside black. fitted lowering spring and back box. we also debadged rear and wrapped chrome trim black and tinted rear lights. found a universal spoiler on ebay that looked like wud fit shape of car and was big enough for her. after abit i got some spray paint and painted rear lip and boot trim same colour as car. it little off but whole car needs deep clean. i picked up and carbon fiber exhuast tip as back box sat under bumper abit and didnt like that. finally then got the front bumper sprayed and put canards and splitter i made from spares and her owl fogs back in. few other bits car has is shark fin areil, rear bumper fins, wind deflectors and engine bay starting be sorted. still have few bits to sort
  2. Sorry I’ve been missing in action, just been so busy I knew the FR was going to cost me money to pass the MOT. I can’t complain 210,000 miles but was looking untidy. David kept on at me to get a Jazz. My response “there for old folk” well fast forward a few weeks and hey presto meet my 66 plate 1.3 Jazz EX Navi. I absolutely love it. Can get 3 kids in the back (not mine) and the seat system is brilliant how it folds. No mods yet! Got wind deflectors to go on, waiting on tailored mats and then need to sort the wheels as 1 is badly scuffed. Not sure on whether to have them refurbed or save up for black ones.
  3. Hi guys, I'm looking into buying a HKB Boss for my Civic MB3 (1997). Does anyone have any information as to what boss will fit the spline for my specific model? I've seen a few people say it's the OH-206 DC2/EG boss but just want to make sure. Cheers
  4. So a few months back, my brother in law had a problem in his civic with an r18 engine where one of the injectors failed. My mate who works on our cars and used to work in the workshop at Honda is still in touch with guys he used to work with said they'd started seeing loads of injectors going, and thought it was because of e10. Fast forward to yesterday, and Karen's accord started sounding rough (she said it sounded like a scooby) and had an engine warning light on. Turns out it was a misfire on one of the cylinders.. Everything else checked out okay, so have ordered a new injector for it - my mate said when he was speaking to the parts guy at the dealer, apparently they'd ordered 18 injectors in a single week, which is totally unheard of. Needless to say, Karen's also now not touching e10 anymore. Normally bullet proof k24 felled by some rubbish fuel (or at least so it seems). Nuts when you think my b18 has been rocking on for over 20 years and well over 200k and never had an issue with an injector. Don't even remember anyone on here having issues.

  6. I noticed this advert recently. It is not my car and I have absolutely no connection with the seller. It apparently needs a new exhaust system as the cat was stolen and they cut through the pipes. It also has an expired MOT. In my opinion that would be worth having and repairing for £350. It's no good to me as it is too old for the London ULEZ. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202109297922634
  7. Hi everyone, I'm quite new here and I've just picked up my first ever 1997 Honda Civic today. I'm looking for some exhaust reccomendations because I'm not sure what fits and what doesn't. I'm not looking for anything crazy just something that makes the car sound a bit more fruity and looks good when sitting under the rear bumper arch. So far though the car runs and drives lovely absolutely chuffed with it. Cheers
  8. Hi all, I'm planning to do a mini-me on my 1.5 Vtec-e I've read a lot about it but two things I'm not sure of, will it run (good) with a P30 ECU from a Civic del sol, or do I need the P28 ECU? And a adjustable cam gear is not necessary because I'm not changing cam only but the complete head? I'm able to buy a complete D16Z6 engine, costs are low because of oil consumption, engine has run 130 Miles. Regards, Patrick
  9. Hi, my name is Patrick, found this Forum yesterday, I own a 1.5 Vtec-e, not the fastest one but drives very smooth. it has only 125.000 KM on the clock. Only put it closer to the ground and made it a little nicer under the hood. Second car is a Toyota Starlet (1985)
  10. So i have an MB6 civic and have recently bought a set of mb6 braking hardware. Now this brings me to an issue, i would like to keep the 4*100 lug size but the mb6 wheel hubs are too large. Can i just fit the wheelhubs from an MB with the 1.6 Litre engine? As they also had rear disks but have the 4*100 lug size. Or do i just have to get new rims?
  11. Does anyone here have any thoughts on the 2001/2002 Accord? I have seen a few of these for sale in my search for a London emissions compliant MB Civic. There seem to be a few more of these still around as they seem to have been sold for a year or so later than the MB Civics. They can be found with 51 and 02 plates, whereas the very last MB civics sold have Y plates.
