I got mine for the mb6 and the deck tailor made, and both are excellent fit and quality. They're double lined, so soft fleece on the inside, but not weather proof (as The deck lives in the garage Got them made by "specialized car covers", who also make waterproof ones too. Cost is around £250 mark though! Halfords do decent ones too mate for a fraction of the price. I think Alex (Chandler) also has a cover for the deck, so might be worth asking what his is like too.

Try this guide mate, mega easy to get them to display the right way up http://civic5.com/forum/topic/9992-how-to-get-iphone-images-to-display-right-way-up/ She's looking mighty clean and those seats are the danglies!

Looking good so far mate, and with the planned mods will look sweet! Loved the VTiS too, looked mint, and the VTi Coupe......came so close to buying one years ago in that very colour. Think it's supersonic blue? Best colour for the coupe imo, love it!

Had a quick look on Lings for you mate, and from what I can see, it's number 5 on the diagram. Part number will be PFKL768409 (I think you delete the "PFK" bit when calling your dealership for part) and the part name is just showing as "GROMMET, BUMPER SIDE". If it isn't that part, then it's number 10 on the diagram (CLIP, FR. BUMPER SIDE) which is part number PFKL981595. Here's the link to the diagram http://www.lingshondaparts.com/honda_car_parts_selection_pfk.php?block_01=17ST301&block_02=B__4601&block_03=17233 Hope this helps mate. -

Download our free service manual from Honda mate, it's mega handy giving you a breakdown of parts. Or try the link to Lings Honda, once you know the part name and number from there, you should be able to track one down, although I'm sure this is a Honda specific part. -
At last you've got the pics up of her mate! lol Enjoyed our wee blether last week, and good you finally got to see DD lol Your deck is looking superb, the seats are amazingly comfy compared to the old vtis ones eh!

Hard to tell from the pic but looks like either air con pump or power steering?
-
Yup, I'll do that right now!

Hopefully its cured it mate!

I think that one would have been taken off to do the clutch mate. Absolute pain when they start playing up after fixing something!

Most probably the rear mount mate, these tend to be the ones that give civic M's trouble. How much is she lowered? I'd be thinking about raising the height a bit mate as it sounds as though the car is gonna end up getting wrecked underneath.

Meet Roxy! Daves Honda Civic TypeR FN2 (UPDATE: Roxy waving goodbye to Civic5)
Dave replied to Dave's topic in Other cars
Forgot to report back on this! lol Well, Jim and me stripped the whole rear interior out, which was a total nightmare! New cars just aint built to be taken apart by us!! We got there in the end though, then checked for water ingress. Didnt see exactly where it was coming in, as it's kinda in behind the inner metal of the rear pillars etc, so checked all around the window, and the seal around that is fine. So we decided to take off the roof gutter strip to have a butchers underneath that. Now I did read on civinfo that these gutter trims are almost impossible to take off without breaking either the trim or the clips. With my trusty plastic trim removal kit, I got it off first time, no damage!! The gutter underneath was seriously bunged up with crap, so cleaned it all out. Then noticed that the sealant around where the trim clips into place (there are bolt ends coming up through the roof for it) looked buggered, so cleaned it all out and resealed it. Did all the mounting points along the guttter then put her all back together. Result? Been pissing down with rain up here for the last week, and left her parked in the drive instead of the garage. No more wet seat belt!!! Yas!!!!- 340 replies

Yes, the fuel tanks are a nightmare to find new. The MG tanks are slightly different, so not sure if they could be retro fitted. Trouble is trying to find an mg on too, both are very hard to come by. And most breakers yards by law have to pierce the tanks on cars when they arrive, so totally screws us up when looking for replacements. If stuck, try our breaker 10000RPM on here to see if he has any decent ones
-
Doesnt sound too bad mate. It could be either oil from the engine, or possibly brake fluid. If it is brake fluid, it needs changing as it shouldnt be that colour. Best bet is to get the engine bay cleaned, making sure all electricals are covered. Use a good cleaner such as gunk. Much easier to spot the leaks source then.

Yeah, the blank bit is where the air con radiator sits on models that have air con mate. I gather yours doesn't? The normal rad only takes up half the space there, so that's normal. If its went to the top of the scale on the gauge when driving, it could be the thermostat is stuck shut. Don't let the engine run for long with the temp like that mate, it'll damage it. Best bet is just to replace the thermostat as they're cheap to buy, and then give the coolant system a good bleed. That should hopefully cure it. If it doesn't it could mean the head gasket has failed, but concentrate on the cheap fixes first. If the power still feels ok, then doubtful it's the H/G anyways.

LMAO! Looking forward to seeing this one coming together mate, gonna be a wee firecracker! Nice list of parts so far!
-
Yeah, has to be the 1.5 vtec to have the vtec-e system mate. They are actually really good engines, DAVEMB2 has one aswell as his K engined mb, and I've been in it. Obv not as quick as an mb6, but they are pretty nippy wee MB's. The fuel economy is nuts!!! Dave's been up here a few times and got over 500 miles to a tank if I remember rightly. Amazing on fuel! And sound the part too! There's also two versions of the 1.4, one has more power (think it's the D14A2 if memory serves me right, which is what was in my 1.4). Again, for a 1.4, and considering it was a fairly heavy car, was still pretty quick.

It could be an engine/gearbox mount hasn't been tightened properly, or is on its way out. Deffo sounds like somethings not right, as you shouldnt get much vibration coming through the gear stick. If you can get her up on a ramp, go around all the bolts on the mounts to make sure they're ok, and check condition of the mounts rubbers. how is it on the move, using normal amounts of throttle? Whats the "something loose" noise like? Metallic, or deeper knocking kinda sound?
-
Yup, sounds like the probable culprit mate. Or it could be the coolant system is needing bled, might be the thermostat has been changed but system not bled properly. There's a how to for this in the "how to" section, as they can sometimes be a bugger to bleed. How far up is the temp going? Is it going high whilst driving or when stationary?

Not seen it in the forum bud, did the new owner sign up in here? Sad times you had to sell, but know what it's like mate. I wanted to keep Ruby, but it was too much trying to keep all the cars on the go. -
Got 16's on mine mate, lowered approx 35mm (so not slammed) and no probs except speed bumps can sometimes scrape the exhaust/mudflaps.
