  1. Wow! Nice find mate, and top job on the cleaning! Looks sweet now! No plans for modding????........yeah right! Hahaha! Lol
  2. Nice one guys! We love a competition here, and also saving money!
  3. I've looked into your account Ali and have tweaked a couple of settings mate, hopefully you should get emails about followed topics now. Thanks for the heads up Krzys
  4. If its changing when using the heater, it sounds like you will have to carry out further bleeding of the coolant system mate. Hows the temp sitting when you leave it idling for around 10 - 15 mins? And once on the road, where's the temp sitting? Does it go high, or do you notice a significant drop in temp? Either will point to an air lock in the coolant system. These engines can sometimes be a pig to bleed, I know Ruby's was.
  5. Thats sounding like it may be either fuel related or a dodgy sensor somewhere.
  6. Yeah, replacing the tube should hopefully correct the problem. It's not a common fault, although I have heard of maybe one or two over the years having this.
  7. lol steady on! Doubt we'll be at all the shows (Unless we move house so we're nearer!!) but we'll get to as many as we can!!
  8. Shut it ya wee toad! lmao We'll be there next year...............unless it comes when we're in Corfu! If it does, no competition, I'll be in the sun!! lol
  9. I reckon it'll go up to around £1200 minimum mate. The damage looks not too bad, although I would want to check that B pillar for damage. The rear quarter will be a tricky panel to replace too, so bargain on a fair whack from a bodyshop to sort it out. Mileage is a tad high too, and that last service isn't stamped so can take it thats probably not been done (anyone can just put a scribble signature in the service book without even going near the car!) If it were to go for it's current bid, then yeah, well worth buying even to break it. I had the Civic TypeS GT ) 2011 model, same engine as that and it was a really good car. Nippy enough but also good on fuel. Check civinfo.com for details on what to look out for on them though, there are a list of known faults, some that should have been dealt with via a Honda recall, but some owners didnt bother. And oi! Who wants that shape civic??? lol cheeky bugger, I'm on my 2nd one! (TypeR though!) lol
  10. Just wondering if anyone got pics from the Civic5 stand at japfest2? If so, pop them in the photos section guys, would love to see the cars!
  11. What a stunning car, attention to detail is immense mate! Deffo one of the sweetest EG's I've seen, some really tasty mods on there. And those lights look evil!!! lol Cracking build thread this!

    Car Prices

I spotted a VTi (so B16) del sol, electric transtop etc with low miles (think it was around 50-50K) which was on autotrader for £2000. It claimed it was a "UK" car, but I always thought the VTi models were imports only? Also, it had a small bit of rust around the rear arch on the drivers side, and a small bit on the pass side where the wheel arch meets the sill (basically bottom of rear quarter panel) so that would probably affected the price a tad. Was tempted at that price though!! Cracking wee cars!
  13. Here's the very car! It was sold on but to another member http://civic5.com/forum/topic/9506-freakwagon-is-alive/?hl=freakwagon
  14. We did have a turbo'd D series a wee while back mate, was an Aerodeck. It was also an automatic! From the videos, it seemed pretty quick! Not sure if the member is still here as he sold it on I think, although he did seems to have quite a few problems with it. The ebay kits I've heard of so far have given nothing but trouble, so guess it's the same with anything from ebay, it's trial and error.
  15. ABS light on, how to read fault codes. http://civic5.com/forum/topic/10324-abs-fault-codes-and-how-to-get-them/#entry273169
  16. On most the Honda civics to get abs codes you basically have to bridge the 2 pin connector. But with the civic 5 doors 96-00 you need to bridge 2 pins in the 5 pin data link connector to get abs trouble codes. The following picture shows which 2 pins need to be bridged to get the abs light blinking. The red marker is supplying 12v so don’t bridge the wrong pins otherwise you might fry something. You can then look up which code it is.
  17. @Krzys Done mate! Big congrats Gib, stunning deck bud!
  18. I think you can get smaller detail pads mate, that work with the compounds you have. Try machine mart or similar, they're kinda pyramid shaped so should get into the manifold no probs
  19. Lol, I'm skint mate and no annual leave left Would've loved to have got down to jf2 again and see you all. Will make a point of getting down next year, get some miles on the deck!
  20. It's a bugger that you had to change all those parts to get to the root of the problem mate, but that's usually how it is with older cars. Did you get a brand new tank or 2nd hand? I was gonna suggest fuel pump! Lol The good thing is, you've replaced most of the things a minor service would involve, and also the things a major service would entail. So you won't have any worries for a long time now. Bet she's driving like brand new!
