Sounds like the sunroof drains are blocked mate, very common problem on the civic M's. Another place that gives the same problem you're having is the seal around the front windscreen. It's bonded, but the bond breaks down through time and even the tiniest gap in the seal lets the water in, soaking the top corners of the roof lining and also the floor. Best cure if its that is to remove the trim around the outside of the screen, and silicon or tiger seal all the way around it. More expensive route is to get a new windscreen fitted. But start with the sunroof drains first mate. Have a look around the forum, there's plenty of posts on this as it is really common fault.

This is one epic build mate. Really love the Focus ST's, sweet motors. Looking forward to the video! -
Nice find mate, a proper Nissan Micra! Hated the daft rounded one they brought out after that one. Thats a MK1 facelift? Always liked them mk1's, cracking wee cars and ripe for modding!

I know the ones you are on about mate. I bought one for Ruby, and they were really top notch. Unfortunately the member is no longer active in the forum, and think that they were made through his work, so doubt it would be possible for us to get more. I'll look into it, see if I can find the member and ask if he still has the CAD. I've got two in stock (original vtis badges) but not sure if they're any better than the one you have.

How about another calliper topic - someone please save my sanity
Dave replied to Butcher's topic in Brakes and alloys
Unfortunately, almost all civics suffer from rear calliper issues. The problem you describe would point to the Liston itself sticking, as you've already fixed the sliding pins. You can disassemble the entire calipper, and remove the piston too to check for wear and corrosion. If taking v the piston out, we strongly advise buying a seal kit before hand to replace the seals when you rebuild it. The handbrake mechanism is bad for seizing too, so needs to be cleaned and rebuilt, using copper grease on it to keep it moving freely. The handbrake cables themselves can also get seized or sticky inside, the only cure being new cables. Regarding the pads, deffo use copper grease on the rear of them when putting it all back together. Also remember if the calliper has been off, you'll need to bleed the brakes. Hope this helps. -
Nice one mate, good to hear you getting back in a civic M!

We did have a group buy on them a while ago mate with our then trader John banks Honda, but doubt they will have any left. They were brand new old stock. Best bet is try eBay or contact a few Honda dealerships Give Western honda at fort kinnaird Edinburgh a try as the parts guys are really good there, and they are one of our traders. Mind tell them your fromthe Civic5 forum!

Yeah, as above, the tank always has more in it than the needle would suggest. Its a kinda fail safe so you don't run out of petrol, most cars are like this.

Try their FB page mate, as Rich is always busy so doesn't check into the forum very often. https://www.facebook.com/Dynodaze/?fref=ts

One of my fav cars!!! They look amazing! I had an Avenger years ago, 1.5, was my plan to do a replica but then went and sold it. Is it not a Hillman Avenger tho Tom? Think the Chrysler ones are the facelifted ones, didnt think they did a Tiger version of those ones. Has it got the "Hockey stick" rear lights? Get some pics of it if you can bud, would love to see it!

Yeah, nice dark and moody colour, and seems to change when the light hits it. Some nice deep dish rims on there will look sweet with that colour! I think I've fixed the classifieds problem bud, so let me know if you get any more probs with it

Both D series and B series have a timing belt mate. I have a 1.6 auto deck, have done for over 11 years now. If driving sensibly, around town I'd say she gets around 30mpg, maybe slightly more. On a motorway run, best I've averaged is around 38 mpg, which is pretty good going for an auto. The 1.5 will probably average out roughly the same, as said above the extra weight of the deck will reduce the 1.5s excellent economy. The 1.5 VtecE hatchback is amazing on fuel though! Manuals will always get better mpg over autos, but Phil is right, the auto in the civic is probably one of the best around. Never had a single problem with mine, and best of all, no clutch to ever worry about! lol
