    drive shafts

The driveshafts seem to be a really weak spot on the Civic M's
  2. Hi mate. I found the hekos to be quite a poor fit to be honest. Had both the hekos and the climairs on mine and the climairs fitted really snug, no clips needed at all. With the hekos, I feel the clips kinda get in the way, so could well be that's why the windows are now closing slowly. Remove the wind deflectors and see if that fixes it. If so, then get some strong double sided tape specific to fitting bosy kits etc, or a really strong sealant such as tiger seal and use a small amount of that to fit the deflectors. No clips needed then and will be a lot more secure than the original clips/double sided tape method.
  3. Big congrats on the baba mate.............................hope the missus and the wee one are doing well (say hello from Gayle and me!)
  4. Ooooooooh! Liking them!!!!! Look similar to the Cade's on DD. Nice dish to them too mate, will suit the accord perfectly!
  5. Liking the sound of that! The executive is loaded with toys, so nice model to go for. Gonna Google them wheels, not seen them before!
  6. And what's the plans for the accord? Similar to the MB or more subtle? Had a look at a few as I thought about getting one...........I love em but Gayle hates them
  7. Keep threatening to chop in the TypeR and getting an mb6 again lol
  8. Lmao.....couldn't keep up behind her in the twisties at Jedburgh though lmao. How much will you be selling yours for mate? You keeping all the mods on her or selling as standard? Should sell quickly methinks
  9. Didn't think he'd sell her lol When I set up Ruby, I started around ten clicks and worked my way up. Think I finally settled on 17 front and 18 rear if I remember rightly (been a long time!). I did go up to around 7 clicks above that, but found it was too stiff for daily duties. Also found out that it was too easy to upset the balance of the car mid corner, and hitting a bump mid corner would throw her across the road! Had a couple of scary moments so thought f*ck that, too stiff! Lol wound it back gradually to the settings mentioned above and found the car was perfectly balanced through the bends, really fluid. Bumps mid bend didn't affect the handling, and she stuck to the corners perfect. I think stiffer is fine on a nice smooth track, but our roads are shit so a bit of travel in the shocks is necessary. With that set up, she pissed on a lot of great handling cars, Inc ep3's. Tell him to be very carefully bud! Lol Ruby don't like the taste of hedges!
  10. Sad to see you're selling up, although you did mention it to me the last time I saw you mate. One sweet VTiS, hope it goes to a decent owner. And hope they join up here so we can follow the cars progress. Wonder if John will sell up Ruby soon???? lol
  11. Yeah, probably the best way mate.
  12. Can still get them from speed line mate, give them a call. Not cheap though, think I paid £30 just for one! Which is rediculus!
  13. Simply wow! And that's why civic5 always recommends the MeisterR's to members looking for suspension for their MA/mb/mc civics.
  14. The accelerator can be kinda heavy in some of the MB's and MC Civics, but wouldn't say they are overly heavy bud.
  15. Have a look at Huberts project thread mate (our October Car of the Month) as he had his done in gloss black. It's easy enough to do, as long as you're careful when sanding down the bumper ones. I'd use a plastic primer first because as plastic flexes, normal primer will crack/flake off, Use plastic primer and it will give the paint a really good surface to stick to.
  16. Deffo try a new cable mate! Once these wear out, it's almost impossible to get them moving freely again. Have a good look around the throttle body, maybe get someone to press the accelerator whilst you have a look, see if you can pin point whats sticking.Might be an idea to disconnect the throttle cable and move the throttle manually to see if it still sticks, as this would rule out/ rule in the cable itself as being the cause.

I'm up for that! Always thought it was crazy that the mb6 etc got an LSD but the EP3 didn't, just didn't make sense! Would love to feel what the difference is mate, bet it's a real hoot on the twistys and roundabouts now! Also agree with the EP3 being a proper drivers car, so much more raw than the FN2. Really enjoyed the drive in yours (and still blame you for me getting that induction kit! lmao )
  18. Did you get this sorted mate? If not, deffo check the earths to the headlights, as poor earth will almost certainly give this problem. And if you can get a test meter, do check what voltage is coming out at the connector for the lights. Could also be the connectors themselves are corroded inside, giving a bad connection. Try a good quality bulb such as Osram Night breakers (but don't buy from ebay, as it's full of cheap fakes!). I had these on Ruby my MB6 (and the current owner has replaced them with the same bubs again when they finally blew) and the light output from them is superb. The MB/MC lights aren't the best in the world tbh, but I noticed a huge improvement with those bulbs.

Has to be the NSX, although I ain't been lucky enough to drive one yet. Used to love the integra dc2, but not sure I'd want one now. Having driven both the EP3 (krzys one) and my own fn2, I can't pick between them. I loved them both, but for totally different reasons. Have to say though, I did hit 149mph in the fn2 recently at the track! It was still pulling but I freaked at the speedo and backed off! Lmao
  20. Rover/MG ones won't fit our M's unfortunately. The red and clear ones are standard on facelift Civic Mb's and Mc's mate, but the red/smoked are custom. Remember too that the Aerodeck lights won't fit the hatchback. Easy to do the custom ones though
  21. See, the problem with the Civic M's is that the shell actually flexes a bit depending on where it's parked/on the move. I had the same problem with the MA8, it leaked if I parked it right at the front of the drive due to the camber on the drive, but if I parked if further back, on the level bit, it was fine. So I'm assuming that although you managed to seal it when it was parked, it's managed to create a minute gap again once on the move. I found that if mine was parked with the front on an uphill bit, but the rear on the flat (my drive was so uneven back then!!) that was when it broke the seal round the window. So try and find somewhere with that kind of gradient, or, if you can, park it on a slight (very slight) downhill slope and then jack the front up slightly. This will give the same kinda effect my drive had on mine. Then go around the screen with a really good sealant. I'd deffo go for tiger seal mate, as a lot of the other silicon sealers just come away from the painted surface easily. Tiger seal won't
  22. Loving the detailing you've done mate, makes an already superb car stunning! Especially liking the gloss black detailing, really makes the door handles and bump strips look minty fresh. Think I might try this with DD. Top work fella!
  23. Great bit of info Tom, especially showing how far back the Honda/Rover relationship goes. I was at college earlier when I replied but home now, so will have a look and see if I can find any of the Civic M/Rover 400 specific stuff I had from the last time. Had some early video footage of the pre-release civic aerodeck so would love to find that again and create a new page for us.
  24. Correct @dr broon as had it on our old website, but most it during the upgrade. I'm working on a new one so will upload it soon
