  1. Poked off! Went to change front brake pads, and when tightening the caliper bolrs (using my torque wrench, which is about 30 yrs old!) Got to last one on the top sliding pin and bloody torque wrench failed to click and stop. Result? One bloody sheared off caliper bolt. Now car is off road until i can get her booked in to get fixed. Be a very slow, careful drive to garage. Bloody gutted! And more expense that i aint got the funds to spare for. Dd going back into service, although hate leaving her in the car park at work. Mini got thumped there by hit and run. Oh, and DDs mot runs out saturday! Ffs!
  2. Yes! Two very different and very cool civic m's!
  3. Totally agree! Really loved the look of Ammars mb! Have a look at the brochure in our downloads section mate, shows you some of the alloys on the accessories pages
  4. Jesse! Understand now why deck had to mate! That they was severe eh! Looked really clean too but just shows what can be hiding. I'm liking the MA rear lights, looks really different. Funnily on my MA8 the first thing I did was swap the rear lights to mb ones!! The orange indicators actually look good with the blue (which is even more strange as my MA was that very colour! Lmao) Is it just me or do your wheels keep changing from black to red then black again in the pics? Lovin the more so far mate, tidy wee civic m that!
  5. Originals were 14' steels, alloys were 14's as standard although 15's were available as an option.
  6. There ya go mate, shows the brackets and fender bolts etc
  7. You can get nice anodized aftermarket ones mate in a variety of colours. I replaced the ones on the aerodeck (check the link in my sig ) with blue anodized, same with all the fender bolts/washers. Cleans up the bay nicely.Do a search on ebay or google for passowrd jdm radiator stay brackets and fender bolts.
  8. Shame about the deck mate, but nice replacement! Think I prefered the banded wheels in black, but the colour might grow on me. Whats the plans?
  9. If you need the double foglight switch I have plenty in stock here mate. Don't have the wiring though, which you'll need as the plugs for single/double switches are different size/shape. It is easy getting the OEM fogs wired in though, so be a nice mod on the car. Looking forward to following this one
  10. Lol yeah, takes weeks to get that stuff off your hands!
  11. Looks epic mate, and loving the colour coded trolley jack lol All in the details! The throttle bodies look insane!!!!!
  12. If you look inside the door again, youll see the bolts that hold the window in place on the chanels. Cant remember if you can adjust these so the wondow is maybe tighter when fully closed? Theres also a bolt there for the rear window channel that allows very slight adjustment of it. Its near the to of the door, on the side thats closest the rear of the car. The noise stopping when pulling the handle suggests that the force of pulling is tightening up the channel, which is removing the play which is causing the rattle. Hope this helps
  13. I did on my old MA8 civic, but it was OEM ones. I bought the oem wiring harness that goes from the fogs to the inner wing and the one that goes up inside the dash and replaces one that is already there that goes to standard fog light switch. Replaced the switch with the double fog light one. Also fitted the relay to the fuse box etc. Was a pain in the butt to do but resulted in a nice oem install. If your fiting aftermarket ones, it should be a lot easier! Less wiring to do, although youll need to fit a switch for them. Does look nicer with the fogs fitted though! Agree mate, the little colour coding seems to make them feel more modern and more up market. Looking forward to the pics And nice to see a car that has sentimental reasons for keeping too. Im the same with the aerodeck, belonged to my late wife who really looked after it and loved the car. Can never part with it as so many memories tied up in it, and love it as much as she did now.
  14. Oh, also try putting the window down a little, maybe 20mm then go for a drive and see if the noise is still there. The window mechanism/window channel can also cause intermittent sounds like that. Another one I've experienced!
  15. That's bizarre! Not really sure mate, glove box lid maybe? Try folding some tissue into a kind of wedge, and place it between dash and glovebox lid, then close the glovebox. The tissue/padding should be thick enough to make it really tight to close the glovebox. Also check the cooler stay (the little metal bar that stops door being opened too far. I've had noise from those before. Other than that, it's a process of elimination mate I'm afraid.
  16. If you have the under seat tray on passenger seat, this can sometimes rattle which might give a similar sound. Deffo not a common fault so you may need to either get someone to drive while you try and investigate where it's coming for or get a passenger to investigate while you drive. Is it a proper "click" that has a constant rythmn? Like a relay? Or just a random click sound?
  17. Thanks mate. Took a lot of work as I machined the cover smooth so all the seams were gone, then metal polished all the bits I wanted chrome, then masked and resprayed it in the same colour as the car (sicillian red mica). Took forever to get it right but was well worth it! She still has that rocker cover even now, and I sold her over two years ago! The member I sold her too has also spent a lot of time and money on her since then as he's as OCD about her as I was so all's good in Ruby's world lol
  18. Welcome mate! That's a really sweet looking mb6 you've got, really looks clean! Reminds me of the MB6 I had (for a very long time!) called Ruby. Same colour as yours, and one of my fav colours on them. Mine was standard when bought too (only Honda dealership then an old guy had owned it and 33K on the clock) and spent years getting it how I wanted. Still going strong and owned by another forum member now! Miss that car soo much! lol Looking forward to see where you go with this one bud!

    cant open door

Try disconnecting the battery, leave for a five to ten mins then reconnect it. This usually unlocks all doors. If it doesn't, disconnect the battery again and try the following.: You will need to remove the screws that hold on the door card, then try and prise off the card. It will probably bust all the clips and you may need the break the door card to get it off but it's easy to pick up a replacement one. Once off, see if you can swap out the solenoid for another one and see if it unlocks the door.

    cant open door

If you can unlock the door from inside and get the door open, take the trim panel off and try and see what's happening inside when you turn the key in the lock. It could be the lock itself that's faulty or one of the connections/rods from it that needs sorting. If it's just the solenoid, that can be changed easily mate.
  21. That looks amazing! Funny how a simple mod like that can actually make the interior look so much more modern and up to date. Loving that!
  22. As far as im aware its no mate. The aerodecks are slightly wider behind the c pillar so it would be too big. You could possibly cut it down to size, but would also need to graft the panels that hold it in place on the deck into your hatch.
