That's dedication! Think we've had the deck for about the same number of years too. Love having a car that long as you really get to know them inside out, and know it's history. DD had two previous owners which were husband then wife (so technically only really one owner) when we got her and since then my late wife then me. So know everything about her. Nice to see someone else owning one of these civics for so long too! Really hope you get to the bottom of that blooming noise mate!

So it was the door stay! Mine was at the end the pin goes through, seemed to be a bit of play in it which caused the clicking/rattle. Just noticed in my previous post the bloody predictive text change the word to "cooler"! Good wee video mate and glad you got it fixed. Bit surprised when I heard the Scottish accent! Didn't know you were a fellow Scot! Lol

Shiney!! Looks really clean! I see it's an auto too, same as my Aerodeck. You shouldn't need to change the ECU if it's the one the car came with. The mb6 one isn't mappable either and wouldn't work with our 1.6's If you wanted one that can be tuned, you'd need to go for either a Hondata or one of the other aftermarket ecu's. Personally though, unless you're planning a lot of engine mods then i wouldn't bother changing the ECU.

Looking good mate! First Civic M with a ducktail spoiler I've seen! What was it originally from/for? Seems to fit in nicely. Looking much nicer now it's lowered too. Good progress bud!

And their is a god! Got the caliper off, and the pin removed. After much perssuasion the offending broken bolt is out!!!! Well happy. Just need a bolt now!

We also have the official Honda manuals (pdf) for these cars in our downloads section, along with the original brochures (also downloadable). Anything you want to know that doesn't show up using the forums search button, just ask. Everything you need to know about your car will be in the forum. Oh, and we also have a sisiter site/club which we have just started called Future Classic Cars which is for all modern classics from the 80's, 90's and 00's. Would be great to see your wee Civic there too! Already some nice cars there but always looking to grow the club. Link is below. https://www.futureclassiccars.uk/

ES is a nice spec, got an Aerodeck ES myself (although the original leather has been replaced with a full custom leather interior retrim). Obviously not as quick as the B18 engined one's but quick enough for most purposes!

Lol tell me bout it! Going back out to garage to jack her back up and try and get the caliper off. After thinking about it last night, think I should be able to just take the sliding pin out as that should be where the snapped bolt is screwed into, not the caliper carrier itself. Hoping to either get the remaining bit of bolt out or if need be just replace the sliding pins (which are called guides on the mini for some reason!)

Sweet looking ES Clare, how long you had it? Looking forward to more pics of it! Enjoy the club, any questions just ask, we're a friendly bunch here

Poked off! Went to change front brake pads, and when tightening the caliper bolrs (using my torque wrench, which is about 30 yrs old!) Got to last one on the top sliding pin and bloody torque wrench failed to click and stop. Result? One bloody sheared off caliper bolt. Now car is off road until i can get her booked in to get fixed. Be a very slow, careful drive to garage. Bloody gutted! And more expense that i aint got the funds to spare for. Dd going back into service, although hate leaving her in the car park at work. Mini got thumped there by hit and run. Oh, and DDs mot runs out saturday! Ffs!

Yes! Two very different and very cool civic m's!
-
Totally agree! Really loved the look of Ammars mb! Have a look at the brochure in our downloads section mate, shows you some of the alloys on the accessories pages
-
Jesse! Understand now why deck had to mate! That they was severe eh! Looked really clean too but just shows what can be hiding. I'm liking the MA rear lights, looks really different. Funnily on my MA8 the first thing I did was swap the rear lights to mb ones!! The orange indicators actually look good with the blue (which is even more strange as my MA was that very colour! Lmao) Is it just me or do your wheels keep changing from black to red then black again in the pics? Lovin the more so far mate, tidy wee civic m that!
-
Originals were 14' steels, alloys were 14's as standard although 15's were available as an option.
-
There ya go mate, shows the brackets and fender bolts etc
-
You can get nice anodized aftermarket ones mate in a variety of colours. I replaced the ones on the aerodeck (check the link in my sig ) with blue anodized, same with all the fender bolts/washers. Cleans up the bay nicely.Do a search on ebay or google for passowrd jdm radiator stay brackets and fender bolts.

Shame about the deck mate, but nice replacement! Think I prefered the banded wheels in black, but the colour might grow on me. Whats the plans?
-
If you need the double foglight switch I have plenty in stock here mate. Don't have the wiring though, which you'll need as the plugs for single/double switches are different size/shape. It is easy getting the OEM fogs wired in though, so be a nice mod on the car. Looking forward to following this one

Lol yeah, takes weeks to get that stuff off your hands!
-
Looks epic mate, and loving the colour coded trolley jack lol All in the details! The throttle bodies look insane!!!!!

If you look inside the door again, youll see the bolts that hold the window in place on the chanels. Cant remember if you can adjust these so the wondow is maybe tighter when fully closed? Theres also a bolt there for the rear window channel that allows very slight adjustment of it. Its near the to of the door, on the side thats closest the rear of the car. The noise stopping when pulling the handle suggests that the force of pulling is tightening up the channel, which is removing the play which is causing the rattle. Hope this helps
