Ok, checked the service manual and it doesn't cover the wiring for the radio. Best bet will be the Haynes manual mate.

Ah, ok that shouldn't be a problem then. Did you say the wiring diagrams in the Haynes manual didn't correspond to the wiring in your civic (in the other topic)? Make sure you check what diagram the manual is showing because from what I can remember there are differences between models/years in the manual. Make sure the diagram your looking at is for the correct model or year. The colours of the cars wires won't match those of the head unit as wiring colours have changed a lot since our cars were made, but once the cars wiring has been established it'll be easy to wire up. I'll see what I can find just now in our service manual.

Just saw your link to the head unit in the other topic mate. Can see the problem you're having now. The new head unit witing doesn't actually have a socket on the end, just bare wires which is really unusual nowadays. Unless you cut the plug off your exisiting wiring in the car (which I really wouldn't recommend) and hard wire it it will mean buying an wiring harness adapter for the civic and then unless your good with soldering, cutting the end that goes to the stereo off and hard wiring that to the harness. This will mean you don't have to cut the plug off the cars wiring. Probably the best option I think, as if you come to sell the car you can then just plug the original head unit back in, no messy wiring left. If we can get the wiring codes, it's not that hard to wire up. Deffo buy a wiring harness adapter though!
  4. Ah, I replied about the wiring in the other thread in SOS, Can see the problem now. So the plug from the head unit doesn't have a socket actually fitted to it where you would just normally plug in the wiring harness adapter?
  5. Glad you saved her mate, and for £190 that's a decent price even if it only lasted a year. Got any pics of the finished work?

I've got a haynes manual in the garage mate but won't be able to get to it until Sunday afternoon. Can see what's in there. Does the downloadable service manual we have here in the forum not have the wiring diagrams in it? If you get the harness adapter from halfords it should all be plug and play mate, unless it's already had it's wiring plugs cut off?
  7. Damn, sad to see this one go mate. One cracking Accord. Yeah, we're gonna run a sweep stake on how many days before hes back in a Honda! Lol
  8. Sorry but rather than film them id have been out there ending them. Only way to deal with this scum. Hope they take a baseball bat to them if they return! Looks a tiday wee civic that too.
  9. Best thing you'll ever get fitted mate! Makes cleaning the cars so much easier. We've got the hose plugged n permanent and ran it round to the garage so waters always there on tap (see wot I did there! )
  10. Lol for "accidentally" see "on purpose" ! Lol
  11. UPDATE: Our SSL is now configured and installed (hate setting these things up! ) Whole site is now fully secure. You shouldn't see any more messages regarding security/problems with site security. If you do, let me know either via pm or via support ticket. We're good to go! Dave
  12. Lol yes, it's ok chaps. I already bought the new certificate on Friday but can't install it until today. I'll get this done tonight, but in the meantime it's safe to browse the forum. The warning message is just standard issue message. Dave
  13. Jeese! that's some tight laws over there mate, though ours were bad but that's unbelievable!
  14. Ok guys, starting this one just now so lets see your cars entered! Lets make it a big one this month!! Doesn't matter if your car is standard or modified, all are welcome. Just joined the club? What better way for us to see your car than in this very competition! Enter now!
  15. Yeah, can't understand it as we have constant stream of new members joining every few days but don't see any new cars showing up in cotm. C'mon new members, get your cars entered in the competitions! All welcome! Congrats to Jake, stunning civic aerodeck mate! And well done to Stephen, still love this wee civic and good to see her in the running bud!
  16. Loving that! What insert have you got, is it painted? Doesn't look like the usual fake wood/carbon? Really liking the red detail trim around the whole panel, really updates the look of the dash and looks more up to date. Goes well with the S-Wagon decal mate!
  17. Wow, crash looks severe mate, although these fk/fn civics are designed to basically self destruct in a crash which softens the impact for the occupants. I ran into the rear of another car in my fn2 and thought it was totalled, really low speed crash too. But the chassis was perfect so got repaired. Only injury was I had a sore knee for a day so far did its job of protecting. The deck looks clean, nice base to start modding! Can't beat the old B18, really sweet engines!
  18. Have you actually got the F & F graphics on it mate or is that a photoshop? Like the look of that!
