  1. That is one dope ride, man.
  2. Well, i received another e-mail last week: "We're are sorry but your order has been delayed." And no info about when to expect the wheels. But doesn't really matter since i just moved to a new apartment 2 days ago so i'm in no shortage of stuff to do at the moment!
  3. Silver. Might paint them black and leave the lips polished, but we'll see... Going to need some arch rolling first.
  4. I just received an e-mail from paypal: "Arho Viitala, you have just made a payment of ¥57,043 to Nengun CO,LTD." The description of the order contains the words Rays and Volk.
  5. Wow looks like a proper winter you guys are getting on the island! -26 last friday night in Helsinki...
  6. This is what i've been waiting for. COTY material.
  7. It snowed a week ago in Helsinki, was a pretty day. They even opened 2 ski resorts down here but all the whiteness is gone now, replaced by rain.
  8. Resilience paid off and i got the replacement shocks for free. Saved 360£ there! Lesson learned, don't take no for an answer if you feel you've been mistreated. Still had to pay for the fitment though and it took a hella long time but with this financial situation (just got back from Portugal) gotta save where i can, even if it means not having a working car. But i've been taking back the lost time a lot lately, the sound of vtec just feel so good... . Gave her a proper wax and wash too and basically licked the inside clean. And following Zuissi's lead made a little test with the Gopro. Was really surpised how good the quality was when viewed on tv, you can even see all the little details on the tarmac even on high speeds. But as far as the video goes it's just cruising, no high speed pursuits so don't expect too much! But how does the little youtube-button work on the post editor? Mine just turns out like this:
  9. Speaker surrounds done: I could have done a bit better job but they can do for now. I didn't realize the seams would be so visible, also it was hard to get a smooth and flat fit because of the holes in the ceiling. But you can only see that if you look close, and rear speakers on a deck aren't the first things your eyes fall upon i guess! I'm just a bit of perfectionist on some things . Still without working shocks. The importer here in Finland is very uncooperative, and even though he said there's no point in contacting H&R office in Germany, i did it anyway. And guess what they said: sure, no problem, send them over here and we'll have a look, maybe'll you'll get free ones or we can give a partly refund. So now i'm just waiting for my replacement shocks to arrive, but for some reason the importer can't get them ordered despite two e-mails and a phone call! This is the last time i'm ordering anythough through a finnish car "specialist" company. Things seem to work some much better when ordering from abroad, especially England!
  10. I really, really try to like this car and project but i'm having a really hard time. Sorry Chi, hope you understand! p.s. nice dials
  11. Gotta agree, looking good, nice mods especially under the bay. But also i'm curious about the engine damper?
  12. Koni would be nice but their coilover kit is almost the same price... i would have bought them in the first place but they're not TÃœV-approved for the MC2. Now it doesn't matter anymore, since i've got the marking on my registration that i've got an approved lowering kit, they'll never check it again . Also had a Koni Sport kit earlier which was real nice, so i'd do Koni again any day if the price would be right... but maybe it would be worth asking the price for the dampers.
  13. Where'd you buy your rims from? Been thinking about XXR's for a looong time and good to see how well they fit a M! Hate to see this one go, one of my favourites here.
  14. You'll be 15kg lighter if you remove it and all the supports etc. little bits! Better 0-60, better mileage, TONS better looks . Been there.
  15. Had the some problem some years back and this solved it. Was easy and cost barely pennies.
  16. Use Honda MTF. The capacity is 1.8 litres or 2.5 for auto.
  17. Great to hear! I've had a sports cat waiting to be installed for over a year now, just have to gather up the £ for the rest of the exhaust bits...
  18. So 2 shocks from my 780£ H&R monotube coilover kit have broken. No warranty left, and they are asking 350£ for replacements. Whaaaaat? So i told them to keep them, i'd rather buy a full new kit from someone else. Then i started thinking, if i could save the H&R springs and use them with some other manufacturers' shocks? They'd have to be adjustable and with coilover sleeves. I already contacted MeisterR about this, but does anybody else have any ideas where to look or if this is even an idea worth considering? So basically i'd be mixing and matching bits from 2 different coilover kits. I'm looking for something for street / occasional track use.
  19. Now that the car has been undriveable for ages i catched up with my sound system improvement operation i started a year ago and fitted new Pioneer rear coaxial speakers: http://www.pioneer.eu/fi/products/archive/TS-G1312i/index.html Needed some spacers and quite a lot of drilling to make them fit. Work in progress... Done! And fitted... As you can see there are small holes in the trim around the speakers, where the clips from the old speakers used to go in. So i'm going to make some rings out of the same material i used on the spacers to cover them, hope it'll look okay. But the new sound... 100% better than original. Now just a little bit of fine tuning and trimming and i'm done with the audio on this car. Then all i've got left to finish is the rest of the interior, exhaust, engine... Also attached the intake pipe to the engine bay, it used to dangle free but i guess it's now a lot more secure . Well actually it didn't dangle, i made sure it was always very well secured to the intake manifold but since i got the parts to do this handed to me some time ago, i thought why not. I also had another picture where you could see how the pieces connect underneath the pipe, but i think i deleted it by accident. But i can assure you it's a pretty neat fit even though i say it myself! Next up... maybe an engine bay clean?
  20. Brake lights fixed, had wrong bulbs in oops! But turned out 2 of my shocks really are busted! A 780£ H&R kit with 12,000 miles/3 years on it, can't believe it . I'm gonna call their rep here in Finland on monday to ask WHEN, not IF i'm getting new ones for free. Wish me luck!
  21. Okay... so the thing is that yours truly had some wrong bulbs in. But strangest this is that it's been many months since i replaced the old ones, and no-one before the MOT ever mentioned or noticed that my brake lights are on all the time? But main thing is that the problem got solved, even though i can't remember when was the last time felt so facepalmed.
  22. Thanks Krzys. Checked the tail lights, all cables looked ok. Removed also the brake light bulbs and checked the bulbholders, looked normal. Removed high mounted brake light and checked it, looked fine.
  23. Replaced the brake light switch, was a real bitch! I wonder how people with normal size hands can handle that, luckily i've got skinny ones. But it didn't fix the problem . I wonder what to try next?
  24. Okay i replaced the switch but it didn't help. To be more specific, when the lights are turned on, the brake lights are on all the time. If lights are switched off, the brake lights only lit up when the pedal is depressed. Any ideas what to try next?
