Never say never, man! Haven't seen Bullets live before, though, so can't be easy to find. But any idea which Rials i've got? No clue on the model.- 883 replies

What's better than finding a nice set of rims on the internet for ridiculously cheap? Well having them in your living room! I had been looking for new rims for my winter tires since the old ones now have R888's wrapped around them so i bought a set of 7x15" Rials for only 100€ (80£)! But it cost me another 60€/50£ in petrol to get them... but still i think it was a real bargain. They're old but in pretty decent condition, the previous owner refurbed and painted them 7 years ago for a project that never got finished. I gave them a bit of hand polish but the lips still need some work, so going to buy some drill bits tomorrow to finish the job properly. Haven't refurbed wheels before so i think these tiny lips will be a good place to start that career. But i wish things were that easy: once i got them i realised the centre bore is 60mm and my Aerodeck has 64,1mm if i remember correctly... if someone can verify this i'd appreciate it! So i either have to get them bored to the correct size, or fit small spacers to get the right bore. Plus they came with Mazda center caps, so need to get some proper Rial ones. Not too expensive on ebay, around 30€/25£. I had almost commited to buying XXR501's but luckily i found this deal. Even though the xxr's aren't that expensive either i still have lots of other bits on the shopping list. Now let's just hope i can get these fitted before the snows come, luckily this year the weather's running late!- 883 replies

Good color combo, looking nice... even though i would've gone for gold!
-
... is 64,1mm, right? Can't find this anywhere and need to info quick. Thanks!

Looks nice, very tidy. Like them new wheels.

Nick's right on this one, i used to be a happy MB9 owner... for less then a year. Then got a MC2 and haven't wanted anything else since! The extra you pay is a very small sum compared to how much more car you'll get.
-
Try replacing the temp gauge sensor, that worked on mine! Really easy to do and part costs barely pennies.

Sorry to hear that. Was really a nightmare for me too. And now not to get anybody else reading this topic into trouble, unlike i said before, DON'T use copper paste on the threads. It'll make the situation even worse if left unadjusted/cleaned for a long time. Instead go with CRC white lithium grease or similar. Just learnt this from a Finnish honda forum.

Yeah this worked. Tried all sorts of secret liquid recipes but to no effect... it was proper stuck. From now on each time i adjust the height gonna give it a mega clean and proper layer of copper paste to keep it open.

CAR OF THE MONTH OCTOBER Chandler

x 2. congrats! -
Well i've taken this into consideration, so far i've told myself "yeah i'll wax them and wash them often they'll be ok"... but to be honest it might be a pain in the back in the long run. I used to have Compomotive CXN's as winter rims on my old MB9 and learnt the hard way what it means to have laquered lips salted... don't want that happening again. But so far i just haven't found any other options that wet my buds as much as the xxr's! Do you have a link for the scmidt's or are they ebay finds?

Where did you get your wheels from? I can only find 4x114 15x7 et10 and et0.

I need new wheels for the winter for my MC2. I've got 15" Continental winter tires in good condition which i want to use so i'm looking for 15" wheels with ET40 to 20, width 6.5"-8". Price range max. £500/600€. At the moment i'm considering these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/XXR-501-15-x-7J-4x100-4X114-ET38-BLACK-POLISH-Z1284-/260834180306?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Trims_Car_Rims_ET&hash=item3cbaedbcd2 http://www.japshop.co.uk/acatalog/XXR002.html (in black with polished rim) I'm looking for that old school look so any suggestions are appreciated. Haven't found anything interesting on ebay yet and can't afford to order the real deal from Japan this time.

I think it looks great with a small poke, and reckon it's normal with et20 since around et40 is stock. Are they 15's?

CAR OF THE MONTH OCTOBER Chandler
Dexter replied to DAVEMB2's topic in Car of the Month 2013 winners
This one was easy, even though one certain newcomer made me think twice... -
Nice deck, man. Fitment was spot on with the rotas, now i think it needs a bit more low... But good choice with the drags, been thinking about the same ones but in different colour for my winter tires. What are their specs?

Thanks for the comments! The photos really required work before and after pressing the shutter button, not to mention waiting for the correct weather. Yes them wheels are 17". And thanks K7000 with the license plate, i think i was trying too hard to get the texture on the plate correct instead of just a plain plate but it looks fine also that way. I guess staring at the same picture for too long has it's effect! But i just realised yesterday when visiting the site from my computer at work, that most of the pictures look really dark, does anyone of you have the same issue? They look just fine on my laptop, but then again to my experience laptop screens are almost always brighter than monitors by default.- 883 replies
