  1. Hmmm yeah good call. It is scary tho!
  2. He was catching me on bends which as annoying. The eg responds very badly to hard breaking and I loose a little confidence. The back end gets very loose! Like seriously kicks out then snakes. Gotta be either because I'm using standard prop valve or maybe the poly trailing arm bushes. Something to look at for next year. Other than that its got that on rails feeling. Just breaking hard for corners makes my bum hole twitch.
  3. Concuring simpo! Each to there own I guess. But bejesus!
  4. they Should be able to do it. My local car factors panjetani does them. He has a little machine he puts the red key in, and it reads the transponder. He then transfers that data to the new blank transponder. Obviously cuts the blade also. He charges £25 for a Honda key. So I guess £30 is fair
  5. Awesome. They should have come out the factory like that for the vti. I mean the top of the range in the other shapes have blacked out lights and damn They transform the car look so good.
  6. Its all good man. Bit of a false alarm. Was a bad week tho worrying. It is running well! As I said above was racing with an ep3 for miles and really pulled away from it on straights. Guy was shocked. Had to rub it in how little power I have compared to him.
  7. Very nice. So did it have smaller diameter discs to start with?
  8. Well if were gonna have to spend it would have to be a r34. Ooh or a r32 hmmm. Can't decide.
  9. Vtec is very smooth on these. Designed that way. Its never gonna be comparible to s2000. Just like my eu8 civic d16 vtec is not comparible to a b18. They are designed with a certain purpose in mind. But sure check the basics for peace of mind.
  10. Nice dash lighting, even coverage!. Wish id thought about those smd lamps. Instead of soldering 80 odd leds.
  11. Yes I heard that when my car was damaged. The invoice also states £129 per litre. Eek
  12. Both but ps13s are the best
  13. Yes its not quite as beautiful as described. Hes writing as if we haven't got eyes
  14. Oh my. People goin nuts bidding for it! Probably wouldnt get that much for mine
  15. Didn't take many pics tbh.. This was badass. Fiat 126 with turbo charge cooled Toyota vvti engine Got a soft spot for these big time old school rx3.. Siick was an awesome day actually. Had a right bubble baff with a giraffe!
  16. Well panics over its been good as gold today. Really happy cus I do love my Hondas. I know there not the quickest things in the world but man so fun to drive! Unfortunately I didn't run. We were all geared up ready to go and guy asked to see my license. Errmm I don't have it, its at home. My mate called me a nob a few times but I've never done it before. I didn't know. He could have said before we set off. Shame ya couldn't make it matty, would be nice for a catchup. Also love your car. Miss my mb!
  17. Dunno about the belt slipping. Think it was just full of oil and didnt like it! Anyway had an awesome day at japshow. Loadsa fun with my Honda whore buddy grimm666. Had a real good road race on dual carriageway with a ep3. Guy parked next to us and said "man that things evil" did give him A bit of a spanking. Loads of great cars. A mental r35 was my fav.. looked stockish but doing 8.5ish second runs in near silence! Awesome
  18. Yeah parkers said that to me too. Ended up with champion blades. Still best wipers I've had in my motoring career
  19. Cheers dudes. Off to pod we go today then
  20. Need to mod also dude.
  21. Personally I found short shifter made gear changes stiffer. Due to the fulcrum point being different. I now use stock shifter polybushed. Much better for me.
  22. Please can I have my trophy for civic5's biggest drama queen!! I think I was right to assume the worst when greeted with an engine bay covered in oil and a loud whining noise! But its the alternator. Phew I'm so relieved, I've had an awful week worrying about it and no time to have a look until today. Took belt off and noise gone. I flushed it through with switch cleaner and its still a little whiney but much better. Also had a mission trying to buy oil late today. Will change first thing. Had to settle for castrol gtx. Eeew hate that stuff but will do for now. Just hope i dont find any shards in the old stuff but for now I'm happy shes ok. Still not sure why alternator played up, had a lot of oil on it but cant see what that would do to harm it.
  23. I have spoken to dynodaze rich about the issues. With the intent for him To do any repairs as I'm not to comfortable opening the engine up outside my house in the street. As usual top bloke. Has filled me with confidence that its not a write off. Suggesting that its likely a coincidence that it has developed this noise while filler cap was off. So really I need to try and diagnose the actual fault myself a bit better.struggling for time but hope to make a start this evening. Fingers crossed
  24. I'm absolutely gutted. There's defo something seriously wrong with it. Its been super reliable engine really and its not happy. It doesn't seem to be knocking so I guess it could be oil pump as mentioned. Whilst driving there was a whining like gearbox noise bit from belt end I will sort it out or replace it. Very upset at the minute feel like I've lost a member of the family.
  25. Yes I forgot to put cap on. Me the person who built the car who maintains it religiously forgot to put the ducking cap on. a guy I met through civic life who's much more experienced with bolloxed engines since he breaks them Is gonna come have a look with me for a diagnosis. Fingers crossed. Turbo will ha e to go on backburner if I need a new engine
