  1. Naturally aspirated mode. Ready to roll. Whole car needs a damn good wash tho. Gross
  2. Little jobs again. Swapped the boot sides for some better ones. Finally got the headrests, belts and latches from a Pre facelift, so rear seats are in properly now. Fitted oem wheel nuts as not a fan of the ones that came on the car.
  3. For fear of sounding a nob Obviously im modifying the car.. But at this point I want to keep the car completely stock looking. As there isn't many about nowadays why I'm trying not make the engine bay look fancy.
  4. She's ready to roll tbh. I've left the bumper off as thinking getting the intercooler mounted then it's just done then, one less thing to do later. Otherwise kinda ready to hit the road.
  5. Nice. Keep her going for a bit.
  6. Little dissapointed I need to drop the fuel tank to change the pump. Gonna be a laugh on me own
  7. This car is gonna get pampered all new bushes and joints, bearings etc. but all in time. Get her on the road first.
  8. Crack out the compressor today and undersealed the back end. Just got the floor to go now.
  9. After sitting so longRear brakes were in a bad way. I don't think they were in great shape when I baught it tbh. Pads rusted Into the carrier etc. Luckily the caliper piston and hardbrake arm are free. Cleaned everything up. And replaced the disc and pads. Will Paint the caliperbtok at somepoint. Ran out of time.
  10. Minor updates. It's coming together. So little time to spend on it. Managed to find a leather Interior. It's in great nic except dirty. So cleaned it all up and restored the leather. Loving it. Really feels nice inside now. The door cards are mint no bagging at all. Unfortunately a few little bits needed to make fit properly. Need some rear latches and the rear seatbelts from prefacelift. On the hunt for them.
  11. The chip cannot wipe from a flat battery. So need to look elsewhere. Have you had to alter the wiring for the map sensor or is a stock replacement?
  12. I think it will be luck of the drawer.. Depends on manufacturer and storage aswell whether they've been stored well not stacked upon etc. Only experience I have, I needed a new bonnet for my last civic. 75 quid brand new aftermarket part. Was perfect. Couldn't fault it one bit. But I think if you could test fit before committing to paint would be beneficial. Or as you say used originals from a rap yard. They don't tend to rust on the front so should be able to find a good set easily enough
  13. The valves probably want tweaking. And possibly a little piston slap. Which unfortunately is common when fitting forged pistons. As they tend to expand more than cast pistons. The piston/wall clearance is larger than stock until warmed up.
  14. It was a bad earth. At first I didn't suspect that because the fuel pump wasn't running aswell as not tuning over. Turns out that if the ground to the gearbox is bad is plays havoc with all sorts. Before I rang Hamilton Palmer about the alarm thaught I best do some basic trouble shooting.
  15. Had her running today. Few minor niggles, but generally sounds well and doesn't seem to smoke at this point. Couple of little leaks teeny leaks to sort.
  16. Again struggling for time. But she's all back together. Shafts in gear linkage in. Exhaust is hooked up. By the weekend I should know if she runs.
  17. 96 spec has 262mm fronts on 4x114 hubs. 98 spec has 282mm fronts but are on 5x114 hubs.
  18. Got all the fluids now and battery charged. Need to put the shafts in tomorrow and might be able to think about turning the key. Eeeeeeek
  19. Seems perculier the ride issue doesn't it. Sure youll get to the bottom of it though
  20. So little spare time just doing little jobs here and there. Injector wiring done. Found some pretty earth straps. Hooked a few bits up throttle cable n what not.
