  1. Yeah I am more nervous tbh. Gonna be the biggest anti climax ever if it's no good. And I will have a meltdown. No way I can do it again. Been a real stress with work life and family life and trying to do our first house up as it was an absolute crap hole.
  2. BWR manifold isn't ps compatible which is a shame. So started making a custom pump bracket that clears the manifold. Need a bit of slim lining and tarting up but should be functional.
  3. I also removed the butterflies from the Intake manifold should flow a little better. And made up a plug and play resistor box for the low impedance injectors. Also using a GM bulkhead mounted map sensor so wired that into a plug so can just plug in. Will do the same with Injector's so can just got swap between the 560s and stock. Going to use a p28 that I've socketed. Used the same last time and it's fine. Suppose it's a little basic no safety features other than overboost. But does the job just fine.
  4. Tried to get everything ready as I can. Oil feed and drain are in and capped off. Oil temp probe in sump and put a probe in the top hose outlet too.
  5. That's a dual core rad and will use an oil cooler. Same as my last turbo build. I don't think this turbo will put so much heat into the system as before anyway. Previous td05 was small and always working hard even so temps were under control.
  6. Yeah i guess so. Still be along way to go really. But no rush. Just want to get it running n/a get an mot.. and put a few miles on it before sticking the turbo on. Once at that stage I will start on the suspension is supose.
  7. Ready to put engine in now. Waiting for a mate. To make life easier than struggling in my own.
  8. The colour i put on with rattle cans but I used a 2 pack lacquer with spray gun and compressor. In future I will do all painting with spray gun. So easy and the finish is great. Quite pleased with result. Not perfect but much better than was. Once had time to harden fully, Sure can flat and polish
  9. Little update. Spent couple of days on painting bay. Had loads of problems. Mainly due to the cold weather I think with primer So had heaters in the garage last couple days trying to warm it up for painting. Bay was pretty scabby initially so needed tarting up.
  10. Honestly can't remember now.there off the shelf for eg and ek. Doubt it for m's. Will probably be best getting some made or making them yourself.
  11. Thanks dude. Yeah can't wait to get back out in it. Was really looking forward to cruising in an M again. But just been a Drive ornament since I bought it.
  12. If the central locking works off the key. Buy a universal kit like hawk kit cheap and woks much better than the normal fob anyway

    Droplinks

No mate you want to find specific ones for your car. Eg ones have rod type on the front and mg style on the rear usually. M's usually have the ball jointed type.
  14. Cool read. You using stock C4 cams? What psi you running?
  15. Made a start tarting the bay up today. Not doing the bulkhead. So busy back there and paints not bad tbh. So masked out everything and prepped and primed.
  16. Was worried to take the skirts off knowing what the back of the sills looks like on most mbs. But was pleasantly surprised.
  17. Yes bit of a bummer tbh. Hope I've done a good job of engine. First ever build. Should be Interesting. Assuming it's happy and healthy. Will be a nice car with plenty of grunt.
  18. Engines built. Ready to run in. Just want to paint the bay and tidy a few bits before putting it in
  19. I stripped the engine and it quickly became apparent that red cam cover had been shot blasted and blast media had made it into the engine. Once I'd got the crank out it was obvious the main crank bearings were scored and a real mess tbh. It is also possible the bearings were too tight aswell. 0.25 oversized but apparently the mains had not been ground. So who knows. Whatever the case. It needs a new crank. Basically everything is toast. I managed to get as new crank in good condition and started collecting bits. As much genuine Honda parts as possible. Head gasket. Head studs. All new seals, oil pump etc. Since the car was destined to have a turbo on it. I figured while it's in bits may aswell build it. So purchased a set of eagle con rods and CP forged pistons. The head has bee refreshed. Dual valve springs, new stem seals pressure tested and skimmed. Block has had the cylinders refreshed and check for the new pistons. And been decked and cleaned. The engine is now ready for installation but I want to do some work in the engine bay when I get chance. I have been collecting parts for the turbo setup aswell. Should be a gooden. BWR ramhorn manifold. Tial 44mm wastegate. JBE 6370 turbo.
