I've been like a kid waiting for christmas for the last few days since I spotted it... can't believe no one else bidded on it. I did specifically search for a final drive like on the off chance... nearly fell off my seat.

cheers Dave. was late for work this morning, so gave tubs a good try out, and I'm actually quite suprised at the difference. there's qute a bit more noise when I boot it, but it sounds like the exhaust is louder rather than just induction noise??? also feels a lot freer... wondering if it's coz of the heat shield making the exhaust more efficient? I suppose that the dc2 mani is designed to run with it. not sure, but all in all am happy

the couple of tweaks of this and trimming bits from the airbox seem to have made it stronger at low revs and then when iabs kick in. bit more noise... but still quiet really. just made the k+n sound effect a bit more noticable. haven't really had a spirited drive though, coz yesterday had karen and the little fella with me.

piccies... and some ducting... removed the snorkle and jubilee clipped some flexible ducting on, and have routed it around and under the air box down to near the drive shaft for some fresh air.

success! whipped the top brackets off which gave enough play to get it in... did scratch the paint again but happy to get it on eventually. also had a bit play around with getting some cold air for the engine to breath. will get some photos tomorrow. 1"£££$££"!! also got a grill from the scrappy to do some experimenting with.

noodles the cat burglar cool mate... I'm trying to figue out where to run my air intake from... there's not much room for it down there.
-
did you get a chance to take any piccies of your bumper vents bud?
-
red it is then just with yours being silver, the black bits under the bonnet give a nice contrast. You'll have to be painting some other bits and bobs red now
-
black for my money

booo! tried to fit my manifold heat shield tonight after finally painting it at the weekend, but there wasn't room to squeeze it in past the air co rad scratched the paint on it as well... sheesh. looks like either mani off or aircon rad out... probs the rad because I can't see how I could reattach the manifold with the heat shield on... bah!

yeah, that's what I'd read before as well, which makes sense, but avoiding everything gunking up as a reaction to having to have the breather tube recycling nasty stuff seems sensible as well.

good stinking 1"£££$££"!! finished off the air box today... cut the pipe in the top half of the aitbox... a steeper angle this time, because it didn't come out as far as the bottom one. now got quite a nice noise when in vtec, and seems to come alive more when the iabs open... still quite quiet though when just mooching about. pretty happy with it. also squacked a load of throttle body cleaner in... i had a brainwave as well when i was doing it. the car was parked so that the driver side was downhill slightly, so all the stuff ran out... ahaaa! says me and jacks up the passenger side to make sure that all of the crap came out instead of heading inwards. slightly suprised by the amount of dirty crap that came out... making me think about an oil catch can. also came across an intersting comment on the webs when looking up cleaning the tb... it was for a nissan but probs the same idea for hondas. it was about the coolant bypass, and it was saying the reason for keeping the tb warm is to stop all of the gunk turning into a thick tar and going hard. seemed to make sense.
