  1. I'll stick me head underneath tomorrow to double check, but that sounds like a plan.
  2. could be.. asked the missus and she's not bothered either way... women! what are you thinking about? it's an ep1 if that makes any difference? assume the bits would be the same though.
  3. I think that he biggest restriction is the cat... it's on my radar to get a high flow one at some point. I know de-cat's easier and cheaper, but have heard that sometimes it messes with back pressure and loses power. funny you should mention hobby... I've realised in the last few weeks that that's what it is now.. a hobby
  4. yeah, it's a two incher but don't tell anyone I was doing a good bit of digging around before I got it, and they seem to concentrate on better flow rather than just going for bigger pipes. from the wobsite: "unlike the countless competitors Supersprint has seen come and go, since 1955, Supersprint does it’s homework on the dyno, the street and the track. Our extensive knowledge has been earned on thousands of cars around the world. This knowledge provides Supersprint with the uncanny ability to extract power from engines when other exhaust manufacturers can only produce higher noise levels. Supersprint products are developed around scientific knowledge not assumptions. Other manufacturers of exhaust systems are happy with larger diameter tubing, restrictive silencer design, increased noise levels and chrome tips to lure customers. But our commitment to performance and quality prevents such an approach. Instead we at Supersprint design and build around each engine’s performance characteristics. Exhaust flow rates and velocity are dramatically increased by Supersprint designs while still retaining factory OEM diameter tubes. We know it is actually easier to loose horsepower through misuse of larger diameter tubing and badly designed silencers. Each component from header to tailpipe is accurately tuned and suited to each particular engine by Supersprint engineers. A critical balance between lower back pressure level and flow rate must be ensured for optimum performance. When Supersprint develops a system for a new car, hand built prototypes are made and extensively dyno tested, rebuilt and re-tested. Combinations of tubes and perforated cores with outside diameter ranging from 32mm (with 2mm. 3mm, and 5mm increments in size) up to 76mm are utilized for best results. Nothing is assumed. Only modifications that create proven performance in mid-range torque, and top end power increases, qualify for final production. There is no make-do engineering at Supersprint." I know it's sales blurb, but it makes sense, and since I've got the oem dc2 mani it seems like a good match. http://www.supersprint.com/en/exhaust-systems.aspx http://xkcd.com/148/
  5. sorry Dave, just re-read the post... I think it was an LED for the heater controls, I'll try and find out the red light doesn't really show the blue up very well on the heater tbh.. more of a maroon T10 led for the heater controls I think dave http://www.civic5.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=62&t=4497&hilit=heater+control 1"£££$££"!!
  6. sorry Dave, just re-read the post... I think it was an LED for the heater controls, I'll try and find out the red light doesn't really show the blue up very well on the heater tbh.. more of a maroon
  7. with these: http://wwwv.maplin.co.uk/coloured-subminiature-bulbs-25545
  8. cheers... they're leds for the dials, and red sub miniature bulbs from maplins... I cleared out the stock from both local stores don't think they sell many. used a how to... think it was one james had posted about.
  9. got a present from Italy today... to sort out this: 1"£££$££"!! swap under warranty....22 months into a 24 month job. it's not blowing yet either... just corroded.
  10. cheers - it's really nie driving in the dark with it.. not distracting when there's no streetlights, but easy to see the dials when you need to look.
  11. Thought that I'd finally get around to getting some pics of the red dash lights / button bulbs: Should have probably waited until it was darker, but it stays light late now you know and it's a school night... You can also see where I took the clock out and fitted a phone holder - I play music off my phone through the bluetooth car kit to my head unit
  12. cheers boys. I did have to get on tip toes to wash the ep's roof... most cars look like trucks next to the deck tbh though
  13. Cheers dude - both civics have got Dares on... mine are from the drift range - not sure about Karen's.. they could do with a damn good clean too tbh, but I couldn't be bovvered and didn't even wash them. keep meaning to take them off and give them a proper clean.
  14. Just finished washing Tubbs and Karen's Tixy, so thought that I'd take a few snaps: Used a car shampoo from Aldi that's got carnuba wax in it... really easy to use, just wash and rinse, then dry with a chamois leather.. not as good as polishing, but really pleased with the results for the amount of effort put in Plus great to get 3l of the stuff for about 6 squidaroos 1"£££$££"!!
  15. it looks like a bear... don't worry though coz it looks far away (jeez your cubby hole's cavenous)... if it does come closer though, best bet is to lie in the footwell and play dead... don't try and run or climb a tree coz it'll have you for sure. oh, and store your food away from camp as well
  16. that's a MASSIVE KNOB! is that a load of stickers from MBUK on your mirror? looks pretty cool.
