  1. Looks top with that drop
  2. Heh, no way. Tubs is staying where she is I got the springs off another member (chi) for winter (when we were getting all the snow), but was never able to get them fitted.
  3. If you did want to go for jay's I've got a spare set of oem springs you could have for nowt.
  4. Two things a far as i know. Helps keep engine bay temp down, and keeps exhaust gases got, which means they flow faster.
  5. Heh... Think that they're welded to the bonnet! No signs of budging when i took the old ones off. Be a few more finallys coming up.
  6. As krzys says, not aware of a crv gearbox being plundered for bits. People do use the b20 in civics with a vtec conversion, but not sure if they use the b20 gearbox or something else. Might be worthwhile looking at crv forums to see if anyone's used other b series gears in there crv gearbox... That might point you in the right direction.
  7. So, from what I understand all b series gearbox bits are interchangeable APART FROM the itr final drive needs the itr 1st gear to fit on the shaft (even though the ratio is the same as in the s9b) which I found out halfway through getting the install done.
  8. Definitely bearing going. Happened to mine for a while before it filled the car with stinky smoke. Had to whip it out in a hurry!
  9. It's breathing related, and seems so obvious that I can't believe that it hasn't been done before. Although that might also mean that it's a rubbish idea and that's why no one has done it before. And I'm not saying owt else until the postie had been and I've played with double sided sticky tape, egg boxes and empty toilet rolls.
  10. So there's a ghetto mod in process (well, part one had been ordered...)
  11. Not sure tbh, as it's the wife's daily. It drinks petrol at motorway speeds (well, when you're covering distance anyway...) and i honestly think that the Verdon of the k20 in it is under powered and makes it less economical... Just feels like you need to work it harder than you should. Would love to try a proper k20 in it. Or even the type s with a type r head dropped on.....
  12. Dunno mate - advert seems fair enough to me. One picky point about the photos is that the blocks on the driveway give a weird reflection on the bottom panels. Might make the paintwork not look as clean as it is? Dunno.
  13. Just double checking, so sorry if this is a stupid question, but when you say vtec, do you mean at between 3.5-4k revs, or higher at around 5.8k. Just cos on the b18c4, vtec is the first stage, and the second more noticeable increase is when the butterfly valve opens in the intake. Will help with diagnosis. As i say, sorry if I'm taking about stuff that you know already
  14. Cool. I've nearly won the battle of persuading the missus that we need to swap our 2.0 one for a type s (or even 2.4 exec, but the lip kit on the s makes so much difference... Especially to the rear)
  15. Looking forward to getting it on (and the brace... Lol) I'm not worried about clearance nowadays now I'm a bit higher at the front. Hopefully shouldn't have exhaust problems either with the dc2 mani. Want to get some new bushes on at the same time as well. I know that will make it harder to tell what difference the brace has made, but been thinking about bushes for ages now as well.
