Good bit of info, the only messing about I did was refitting the cable so I'm hoping I haven't inadvertently upset it! But we shall find out! I won't have any time to play with the handbrake today so it's on my list of things to do tomorrow evening, feel like this week I haven't had time for anything I've wanted to do!

I think it was 170 when the rest were over 200 or something like that, does say in the thread but haven't got it to hand.

I know! Wouldn't have got the car on the ground today if I had cleaned them, time was very against me today. Plus the car is ditched anyway

My brother said the same, but also said if not we will bleed them again, won't be able to look at the handbrake until Thursday evening but I'm hoping I can get that sussed, had a look at the procedure on the service manual and there's one or two other things I need to check so will spend a few more hours on that before I ask my brother to check it out further.
-
Well my brother came over but he was in a rush, so we bled them and fired up the car, still felt a bit soft so went round them all again but on the final wheel the pipe slipped off, carried on bleeding that wheel until no more bubbles came out but the pedal is still quite soft, brakes do seem to work though! Handbrake though is about as useful as a dose of the clap, need to look at adjusting it. Did take it for a couple of miles to check if it was working. Like I said, soft pedal but it does stop!

Alex did his himself but unless you're confident about it I'd get a pro to do it. But you can easily buy a tool for it and use a heat gun to help.

I barely ended up at home at all yesterday, my brother rang me around 19.00 to say sorry for not doing it, he's coming over after work today he tells me to do it. Hopefully get the wheels cleaned up when I get home later, though the whole car could do with a clean!

You can either tuck it into the rolled arch lip or remove it. It's entirely up to you! If you do remove it though the best advice I can think of is to underseal the backs of the wings otherwise they'll rust from behind.
