  1. I should have consulted the crystal ball! Ah well you live and you learn.
  2. If you can do it yourself mate then I say go for it! Same colour or different? This'll be the longest 24 hour wait ever you know!
  3. Little bugger splodged and legged it
  4. If I knew back then I'd end up with another M I'd have kept hold of them.
  5. I'd say you'll need to replace the regulator again, second hand ones are a gamble, I bought a brand new one from eBay, it killed my motor and left my window stuck half way down! Second hand are your best bet but it's 50/50 whether you get a decent one or not.
  6. Check the bolts are tight on the adjuster first, if they are and you can still move the glass then then the replacement may be worn and letting it move. I'm guessing you bought a second hand one?
  7. Wouldn't have thought the alternator would cause those symptoms unless it wasn't charging the battery at all but you say key out and back in and it works fine. Points to the starter in my opinion. Only time I've had that was with a flat battery the other day, though it must have been really flat to get no machine gun style clicks of the starter at all. In the past when I had a Toad CAT1 alarm, if I didn't disengage the immobiliser it would behave as you described, but that was supposed to be electronic and fuel cut-off.
  8. But you're willing to spend similar money on your engine? You need to think about what you really want mate. Not being rude like but without spending lots on the D series you won't get much more out of it. Same with tuning a B series, need to spend a fair bit more than the cars worth in either case. If you don't feel it's worth spending on the you're better off leaving it as is and saving for a more powerful car out of the box.
  9. Replacement motor if yours ever needs replacing!
  10. I've seen what qualify's as safe on "Pimp my ride", scary! Over here as long as the car is able to get onto the MOT ramp in the garage it's fine, unless bits are falling off or the car is on fire of course!
  11. I'm the same, there's not a lot left I want to change about how mine looks, a few bits to tidy up left then a little more interior and a little more TLC to deal with then I think I'll start on the fun stuff!
  12. Whenever I drive the Accord I always drive the nuts off it, if it goes bang it'll look fantastic! But it's quite a strong engine, built properly, not like these crappy plastic things you see today that throw an engine light after a light shower! Just had a look at that Lude, looks very tidy! I've no experience of the H series, but I'd be going to see it as well if I was in the market for a new car!
  13. A list is a list, just hope your misfire isn't something to worry about, being the only form of motorised transport and that!
  14. That's what I do, it also gets used on rainy days! Trouble is you need to make sure you can stop yourself spending on things you want rather than need! I started off with a £700 limit and last year they slapped another grand onto that! Then like yourself, I'm getting offered them all over the place with silly limits too!
  15. Will it make any difference if the brakes in general still need bleeding do you know? Just trying to work out if that would have any affect on it too? If the self adjusting and tightening the cable doesn't sort it I'll look at winding the piston in, though you'd think that's what the self adjusting thing is supposed to do?
  16. They're still a massive improvement over the plastic trims!
