  2. If you are savvy about it, its not that costly to go. So you dont need to break the bank to realise dreams! Ive been twice now and the whole holiday is so worth while. Hot Stone Steaks. Mountain Roads. Roads are littered with supercar/trackcars/kit cars/racecars/historics/bikes. 102 Ron Fuel. Mindblowing scenary. Nurburgring its self. German Beer. Autobahns. Explain why this doesnt interest a car enthusiast!

  3. You have a D15B JDM block with 137mm rods, right ? If yes, It should be the opposite - higher compression. D15B and D16 use the same 137mm rods but D15B has 27.X mm compression height pistons (some say it's 27.4, others 27.75) and D16Y8 has 29.3 comression height pistons. I think you can use D17 pistons if they are cheaper. They have 27mm compression height pistons which should result in slightly less static compression. If you have a normal D15 block with 134mm rods than D16 pistons won't even fit the rods because it uses different sized rod journals.

  7. My older brother says ETS on Haywood Road in Mapperley next to his garage do four wheel alignment, will find out when I get to that point! Update on the Calipers, rang the place this morning. Turns out they've sacked a guy over mine as he failed to spot a knackered piston! So they've got a new one ordered and say that unless I hear anything back from them I can collect them tomorrow! Also have had a 50% refund as a gesture of good will!

  12. No way... hang on, so was it their fault for not totalling up all the scores and you failed because of that? I looked it up on the internet and spoke to the boss recently and he has made an mistake. And yes you're right, It is a 3 day course! Well hopefully in a couple weeks (tops) I should get all my results, then I will go from there. Thanks Philip

  21. Painted the grille surround and badge black. It WAS matte. I gave it a coat of clear lacquer to toughen it up against stone chips and it ended up the shiniest finish I've ever got... Parked at work. I work at an awesome location.

  22. Interested in hearing how you et on with the dc2 front shocks! Was looking into it myself and even pmd the member in that thread you linked to,but no reply. I modded my current front forks to allow the front end to sit lower, definitely an improvement as the front did sit a lot higher.

  25. Cheers pard! Yes all the hangers were in the exactly the same locations. I had the Aerodeck, MB3 and MGZS back-boxes all next to eachother to see the difference (I should of taken a pic) and the only difference I can see is the Aerodeck exit pipe is slightly longer than the others but only by 4 inches (roughly) Sometime in the near futer I MIGHT extend the exit pipe on the MGZS back box to make it flush with the bumper. But the MGZS back box is not loud enough (even with the decat now fitted) so I might change it

  32. If I remember correctly, all rear shocks/springs are the same on all zs models, only the fronts are different. CW were sending out pre 2004 zs180 or 45 diesel shocks which had an orange and white stripe on the springs. The extra weight of these engines could have caused the front to be higher in an mb6? The facelifted zs180, 2004 on, had suspension setup made by Eibach and these springs had blue and white stripe on them, I believe that this is the setup people prefer in the MB6.

  35. Few snaps of my MB6 from the weekend. I'll grab some more after my friends upload their pictures to Facebook for me. Found someone in need of a dechrome. MB6 receiving a well-deserved service. Engine oil changed, gearbox oil changed, timing belt and tensioner changed, then an air con delete because who even uses air con?! At Santa Pod with a few friends. Shafzzz's 325i is in front of my MB6 (only time it was). Amazing parking. Waiting our turns at Dynodaze. Also I have a video coming, just waiting for YouTube.

  38. Well, it's been fun gentlemen, but alas I am no longer a Honda owner. Essentially my sister was desperate for a car and doesn't have a lot of money. So, being a marvellous brother and all that, I gave her my little civic. She'll need to get the brake master cylinder done but other then that it's a free car. I figured I don't really need a car right now, and I've been looking at Subarus anyway, as previously posted. Anyhow, she's had it for a few weeks and not killed it yet (thankfully). And, well. I picked up a WRX wagon at the weekend Thanks for all the knowledge and friendly welcome gents. This is a great community
