  1. Thanks mate, yeah she got the designers at transcal in on the act to get their opinions, and they reckoned the ink blue was best. Just did a 450 mile trip in the deck yesterday and was comfy as anything! Did say to Dawn that I did find the interior a bit distracting whilst driving though...........Couldnt stop looking nat the seats.......the door cards...lmao lmao! thats class! Thanks for the comments chaps! I'm so bloody jealous of Dawns interior! lol I want too!!!!!
  2. Interesting stuff about your middle section mate. Mine (Powerflow cat back) is sounding louder than usual after a blast (only gets loud when exhaust is really hot) Most of the sound seems to be from the middle box, so could be same problem. Rear box is also louder now than it used to be, although does sound the nuts in Vtec! Time to get Ruby in for a nice new powerflow methinks! I'm also wanting it as quiet as oem (I've got an excuse now tho, I AM AN OLD GIT! lmao ) Does that manifold flange line up with the original cat? Quite fancy getting one. Nice find on the early VTiS alloy gearknob too! Looks sweet!
  3. Looks good mate, and top marks for the effort you've put in to bring it back from what the careless previous owner had put it through. Prefer that style to the later facelifted models, although the later V6 with the vents in the wings and the kit looks immense! Just the rear of the late ones I didnt like. One that I looked at buying years ago was a mark 1 in trophy blue, with the two/tone blue leather interior. Love the colour! What is the gearbox/lsd from?
  4. Love this civic, that pre-facelift front end hides the beast within! lol Really sweet liking mb6 mate!
  5. 2 names tornado 06 and tornado Sorted, got pm from user asking to delete previous account Cheers Andrew
  6. The wee booger was out "playing" today in the garden....... Then I heard a wee voice shouting... He's bonded really well with our Lab Bailey! Don't think Bailey wanted to go faster though! And the wee engine noises monkey was making were gettin on his nerves!
  7. Here he is, the day he arrived at ours!
  8. Follow his adventures here! He gets around just like his bro! Pics to follow soon!
  9. Ok, here's updated pics of how the deck stands right now. Oh, and after getting me butt kicked by Dawn, I've finally added her deck to the deck thread!! Ok, some pics! And the OEM Headlight covers... More updates next week!!
  10. She looks good!! Love the new rims mate, the Rota's look lush! Gonna have to get my finger out now and get ruby's side skirts on lol
  11. lol well done mate! yup, updated it the other night so shes there for the whole world to see
  12. Lovin' this build, totally different and a hella lot of hard work and problem solving gone on! My Mrs has the 1.6 auto deck aswell, if she sees this, she'll be itching at the bit to get it turbo'd! (hope youve got plenty free time, you'll need to do hers aswell lmao ) Keep us updated mate!
  13. Top work as always mate! She's a totally transformed car from when you first got her eh!
  14. When you goin up to Edinburgh mate? Will poss try and arrange a meet/run for when you're up! Been needing one up here for ages!
  15. She's come along in leaps and bounds mate! Some really nice mods on there!
  16. Yeah, keep thinking that aswell, but like you say, could end up buying a right nightmare on wheels. Least I know she's a good un' The skirts still havent been prepped or painted yet mate, had too much on since this time last year with hospital etc. They will be top of the to do list now the mot's out the way though. Need to get them on so she's finished........just a couple more wee things I want to get for her though
  17. Got her back yesterday, and she's driving perfect! The bill for all the work (inc MOT) came in at £600, but when I looked at the itemized invoice, the service alone was a job well done. Fuel filter, oil filter, pollen filter, oil, spark plugs etc all done, brake fluids changed, new trailing arm bushes fitted (these were a pig to get out!) new discs and pads etc. Seeing as she didnt cost owt for her mot, thought it was a good idea to get this all done so she's mechanically perfect again. That along with the 4 x Goodyear EfficientGrip tyres I got her means thats all shes getting for a while! lol Around £850-£900 over the last couple of months!
  18. Not even one mate! was amazed! I decided on getting the new brakes and getting the trailing arm bushes done as I felt the discs were warped (vibrating under heavy braking) and there's been this knocking noise in the n/s/r for ages that no garages seemed able to detect, until the boys at RJM noticed slight play in the trailing arm bush on that side (not enough for a fail or an advisory though). So hoping this cures the wee niggles once and for all. Also getting the brake fluid drained and refilled with fresh stuff Should be getting her back at some point tomorrow as didnt have enough time to pic her up today
  19. Not done much to Ruby lately, but did get a new (used) set of front fogs for her to replace mine which are both broken Gonna get them fitted up soon, complete with protective film and a repaint. Took her to RJM for her MOT today, and she PASSED!!!!!!! Totally delighted, as I was convinced a big fail sheet was imminent"! She's been left up there for some work to be done. I decided to get new discs and pads fitted as my front discs are on the way out, so thought night aswell get it done seeing as she didnt have any mot repairs to fork out for. Also getting the rear trailing arm bushes done, as they are starting to look a bit perished, and theres a tiny bit of movement in them, so will get some recent pics up when shes all done. Hopefully get her back Monday or Tuesday
