  5. I currently use ..(around 3 times a year) Turtlewax Ice car shampoo Chamois dry car, then.. Meguires clay bar kit Autoglymn polish (2 coats) Turtlewax Ice polish (1 coat) Turtlewax liquid wax (1 or 2 coats, depends how knackered I am!) Then for monthly car cleaning I use.. Turtlewax car shampoo Chamois dry car, then either... Turtlewax Ice polish, Meguires Quick detailer polish or Autoglymn polish. (1 coat) Turtlewax liquid wax. (1 coat) For weekly car cleaning I use.. Turtlewax car shampoo Chamois dry car, then either... Turtlewax Ice polish or Meguires Quick detailer polish For the tyres, I always use Tesco Tyre & Bumper restorer. Honestly, for £1 odds a can, it can't be beat. Gives a better longer lasting finish than Back to Black which is £5.99 a can! For the interior, I use.. Meguires Gold Class leather cleaner. Mr Muscle Glass cleaner. And a bloody good vaccum cleaner! lol Bearing in mind I've got Two civic M's to do!!! PS: Good topic, changed to "sticky"
  6. Love this mb6, and as above, that blue looks totally amaing on it
  7. lmao! James was the only one to notice the pun!!! Yeah, the filter sounds amazing! Really turns heads when on full chat! I do love oem though, so the filter is gonna be my only devitation from honda stuff. Oh, that and the powerflow stainless exhaust thats on it, but thats built to oem spec so dont count lmao! Cupra boy going the other way was funny as hell!
  8. Cheers mate! yeah, they fit straight in! Always thought that there were differences in the seat backs for the rears, but none at all. I did have a problem fitting a rear seat in my MA8 civic, so not sure if it was to do with it being a prefacelift, or because I was replacing a non-centre armrest rear seat for one with an armrest. Well chuffed with the seats, interior is a really nice place to be now!
  9. So, Since getting Ruby back from the bodyshop and getting her drop links and brakes all renewed, it was onto her next round of upgrades! She now sings a different tune thanks to the filter kit I bought from Adam (jalesi2001) (big thanks for this mate!!) The sound is amazing, and she sounds like a complete animal in vtec!! Also makes her look a bit more bling bling nder the bonnet! Next up, we turned to the interior. Think I may have mentioned that I had bought the VTiS gear knob (later style) from Adam a while back.................well, as much as I liked that one, He tempted me with the Alloy VTiS early style one!! This is also the right one for the year of vti she is, so seems more fitting she has that one! lol A mod that we've been toying with for a while is giving her the full leather interior! Dawn liked the idea of changing the half leather for full leather, so when the chance came up for the complete leather interior in mint condition, including door panels, and a good price, it was too good to say no! Big thanks to Robert (kyekye09) and his missus Louise for this! Spent yesterday in the hot sun with Dawn washing the lot down with soap and water, then conditioning it with meguires gold class leather conditioner! Came up a treat! Still got the door panels to fit tho! (ignore the wee dots on the pics..........its not the interior, it's the rain!! Forgot to post pics of the Alpine head unit I fitted, so here it is! Finally, a wee lighting upgrade. Bought a set of the Osram Nightbreaker bulbs from Robert too, and the difference is like night and day! Really pure white light from them, and really bright. Never have to use main beam now, as the dipped headlights are amazingly bright! Really impressed with these! Next up......................claying and polishing Dawns deck! It also has a new addition, so will get some pics done of that soon!
  10. Sweet deck! Loving the mods/resto project, and as above, fair play to you for doing all this yourself mate! This is the kinda thing id love to do to my mb6 when the time comes for the bushes to be replaced. That'll be so tight when its finished, will feel like a new deck to drive!!!! Nice one!!
  11. That razo looks sweet on there mate. A decent gearknob makes all the difference to the feel of the gearchanges eh! I'm on the early vti-s one now, though still feel the later vtis one feels evenbetter..................but love the look of the early one
  12. Haha, as said in the team room, that rocks mate!!! Looks amazin! And big thanks for adcertising the club too!
  13. Exactly! Almost accessory on Dawns (except the wheels) is from Honda. Cant beat the quality! Mines the same, all honda stuff
  14. Remember chaps, when spraying anything, the temp has a lot to do with the final colour too. If sprayed when its hot, the colour will turn out slightly lighter, spray it when its cold, it turns out slightly darker. As it will probs need to be mixed up for you, ask the supplier for the fact sheet on the paint. This will tell you the ideal temp for spraying with that paint
  15. What an amazing car!! That looks totally stunning mate, a lot of work gone into that! Very nice mods (looking forward to seeing the climate control wired up and how it's done!) and that colour is sweet! Like how you have street/time attack bumpers! Didnt know mgzs had climate control like that, never seen one with it fitted!
  16. Cheers Dave. Theres been some ultralow MB's here Dan, but mine is still riding at standard height, not been lowered at all. I just need her to stay practical, so going mega low's a no-no for me I'm afraid. On saying that, she will be getting lowered at some point, but only around 25mm
  17. Not sure Simon, thats one to ponder. I think the ratios on the diesel wouldnt be geared for our high reving engines, could be wrong though! Must be something that has the same or similar 1 to 4 gears, with a nicer 5th for cruising.
  18. Ta Dave! Was loving the colour change in the sun! Hoping to see your ep3 at the next meet! Your bang on the money there Jon! A 6 speed box, or taller 5th, would make all the differnce to them. I'm used to cars sitting at around 2700-3000rpm at 70mph............always feels like you've still got a gear to go in the civic M's eh! Wonder if the ep3 box could be modded to fit?! lol guys at honda were admiring them today too. They look good, but feel free to keep em clean for me if ya like!! pain in the ass to keep clean!
  19. Ta chaps! Yeah, well pleased with how it's all turned out (cost me £250 excess that I could have done without though! lol ) Really enjoyed the 5 hour drive in her each way to japfest! Been dreading the mot tbh, so that was deff a result! Now on with the next mod..............git her shiney induction kit to go on now (thanks Ad-man! 1"£££$££"!! )
  20. Yeah, glad to say she's now back to her former glory! Had her in to get the drop links fitted (the old ones had to be cut off! ) so new brakes, new droppies, job done! Did the 600 and odd mile round trip to Donnington, and she drove perfect, never missed a beat Yesterday, got a call from Western Honda (our new local dealership, the old dealership stopeed doing honda) saying my car was due its mot. Turns out it was the service manager I'd been speaking to when i was in getting all the new parts (he was at the desk next to the parts manager ) so said he thought he'd ring me up seeing as i've been a good customer! lol Told me they had a deal on with the MOT's, £30 +vat, so thought well, it needs done next week anyways, so got her in today. Was thinking that yeah, cos its a main dealer, she'll fail on something guarenteed..............Wrong!!! Passed with flying colours!!!!! They were totally smitten with her! lmao Turned out the mot tester was my mate that I've not seen for about 4 years! He saw my name on the sheet, saw what car i had (he hadnt seen her yet, still had the MA8 last time I saw him) and he said to the service manager "hmm, I doubt i'll be failing this, cos knowing him, it'll be bloody immaculate!" They were well impressed with her, and part o the deal is it gets vaccumed and washed too! Bonus! (only i just washed her yesterday lol ) The service managers now away to speak to the place that refurbed/powder coated my wheels, as he said that was a top job and couldnt believe the price! All in all, a very happy day! She's now going in next month for a big service How she looks now after her recent repair
  21. This is looking superb! Loving this project mate, keep up the good work!
  22. Thanks for the nice comments, she's my baby lol I checked and they do have the allen key hole, but unfortunately, the nuts have rusted solid to the bols so not a hope of shifting them I've spoke to a man in the know (you might all know him! lmao) and he says that the easiest way now would be to basically smash off the actual link, leaving the bolt and nut. This means you can get grips on the bolt and then turn the nut, hopefully itll come off. If not, it'll be easier to cut off with the link rod out the way. Just to show my dedication to keeping her on the road, she's booked into my local garage on tuesday when she comes out the body repair centre! Hope she gets out on time! lol I know the guy who owns the garage, so he's gonna get the drop links off, with me helping lol. All things going to plan, on Tuesday night she should be sporting her new bumper/ rear all fixed, and wearing new drop links all round and new brake pads all round (the rears are fitted ) Cant wait till Tuesday!
  23. I hink it might have an allen key hole, now you mention it! I'll have a look tomorrow mate! Ta! 1"£££$££"!!
