lol my memory isn't what it used to be!

Be wary, some of the ebay coilovers are pretty poor quality mate and can have a terrible harsh ride. There are some that are ok but at £170 brand new I'd expect them to be bad. Oem suspension even costs more new than that.

Similar to cups, nice wee dish on them too. On one of our St Mary's Loch meet videos there's a green mb2 that has a similar wheel in silver. Does look good!

You can go as big as 17's, maybe even 18's at a push although the 18's would destroy handling and ride. The best size seems to be 15's, which gives you unlimited choices in the style of wheels. I have 16's on the aerodeck, so kinda went in the middle. All depends on your taste, because even though I personally prefer 15's/16's, they do look cool on 17's.

That is an absolute bargain!!!! Pre-facelift civic m's are really rare now so to get one with that mileage and condition for that price you've done very well! Looking forward to seeing more photos of this one. Whats your plans for it mate? Dave

Yes, the MGZS springs are already a tad lower than ours. Simon (Dr Broon) aerodeck has them fitted along with 17'rims and looks cool. Think Toms (Unicyclyingtom) Aerodeck also had the same set up.

Hi Skip, If you're on a tight budget, then getting the springs/dampers from a MGZS is a cheap and effective way to stiffen the suspension and also drop the height slightly. You will need to mod the front forks slightly (Give Noodels (Andrew) on here a shout as he has great knowledge on this) If you had an mb6, you'd need to use the rear ARB drop links from the MGZS too, but as your 1.6 doesn't have the rear ARB you won't need them. However, the rear arb is also a good mod and improves handling too. If you have a bit more money to spend, KONI do a kit for the mb6/mc2 so i assume they also do the same for the 1.6 too. If your budget is bigger still, MeisterR do a fully adjustable coilover suspension designed for our Civic M's. They are also one of our sponsors/traders so will be able to give you plenty of help and advice. I have bought the MeisterR coilovers for the MB6 (aka Ruby) that I had and then bought them for my Aerodeck 1.6 (aka DD). They are a great bit of kit, although I'm now thinking about going back to standard OEM suspension as the deck was originally being kept as a show car only but is now my daily so I prefer a bit more height to make her more practical. So basically all depends on your budget mate. Dave

Thought I'd updated this! lol So, the new leather seats we refurbed are now fitted along with the wood trim for the dash/centre console. Also fitted the leather gear surround and handbrake cover. Think the interior is really transformed now, kinda made our own wee limited edition.

So, the refurb of the wheels is complete! I decided on making them just a bit different so went and bought this..... Thought it would make them look a bit dofferent and brighten up the all black wheel/tyre combo. Very 70's/80's lol So here's what they looked like pre-refurb.... And now.... Think they'll look ok for DD's "Ghetto" winter wheels. Also fitted the centre caps I bought, and then fitted the blue vinyl H logos to the centre caps. Also, to save the brand new OEM mates we bought for her, I invested in a set of these... Just need to get the wheels fitted then suspension swapped back to her oem stuff and she'll be winter ready!
