  1. And our first winner in 2020 is dmrichards stunning aerodeck! Well done mate, cracking civic you have!
  2. But if you got recon calipers surely they'd have the bearings replaced in them? And if so, then where are the recon companies getting them? Have to come from somewhere so they have to be available.

    My second car

WOW! think I;ve just dies and gone to heaven! That looks amazing mate!! Love how you have kept her all original, looks to be in mint condition! Absolutely love this!!!!!
  4. Hi mate and welcome to Civic5! Stunning mb6 mate, and good choice on the wheels! Love the Speedlines, looks so good on the mb6. Also loving the black headlight mod, quite a few members here have done that and looks good! Start a project thread/topic for your car mate, we love to see lots of photos here. There's also two competitions on the go just now (Car of the Month and the photo competition) so please feel free to join in. We also have a section in members cars for "Other cars" and the rule is if you have a Renault 5 GT Turbo you must start a topic on it so we can all see it lol Absolutely love those R5's, can remember them when they were new. They are bonkers quick!! Enjoy the club mate, any questions just ask.
  5. Yeah, exactly as Jake says. Most likely the abs pump as the servo itself can't really make the noise described. Are there any relays on the inner wing near there as it could also be one of those making the noise?
  6. The cars are in.........it's time to get voting!!!! Good luck guys!
  7. I'm gonna put this forward! Dinochips stunning mb6 that just has that Hard as nails image!
  8. Sicillian red I think mate, same as Ruby. Although I'd say the Dakota bronze has to be my favourite, has a really wicked flip to it.
  9. That would be amazing mate, always thought your mb6 had a "hard as nails" look about her! Plus it's in one of my favourite colours for them too!

I'm the same mate, used to do my own work on the cars (although never done a turbo conversion) but getting older it's a pain in the ass. Not from the point that I don't enjoy working on them, it's the effort required is so much more than before, and the pain endured during and after working on the car is a big downer. I've got mild atheritis in my hands nbow so that buggers me up, plus there's only so much I'm allowed to do since the heart attack. Really pee's me off because cars are my one thing.......always have been. Worked on DD today all day, removing lots of trim/headlinging to fit all the wiring for the front and rear dash cams. Fingers are really sore, especially under my fingernails for some reason! Oh the joys! lol
  11. yo James!! Where you been, not seen you here for ages! You still got the Civic? If so get it entered man!
  12. You'd deffo regret selling her mate. Do you have another car as a daily? If so, just put her away in the garage and take your time deciding what to do with her. Bear in mind that although the Eg's (due to their age etc) and Ek's are fetching more money, the MB/MC civics are getting rarer but the day, especially in vti/vtis form,, and even more so in aerodeck form. The values will increase in time although I doubt they're gonna hit the values that the other civics are (unrealistically) hitting at the moment. Saw an ek4 for sale that had over 150K on the clock, bubbling rear arches and a price tag of £5600 which even the mintest ek4 isn't worth. Just how popular they are and scene tax I guess.
  13. I want a boost button! Mind you, if i were to press said boost button in DD all id get is a Cadburys sweetie emerging from the dashboard! lol She is an amazing car mate, loving it!
  14. It took a bit of time to load but seeing the photo here (on my phone as we're out just now). Loving the entries so far! Let's see some more! We've had a few new members join throughout 2019 so let's see your cars too folks!
  15. Yes! It's back!!!! Our popular COTM competition has returned for 2020! Enter the car you think deserves to win this months competition. It can be any embers car, or you can even enter your own. Entry is simple..... Post one photo of the car A link to the cars thread/topic a brief reason why you like it. It's that simple! Once the entries are in we will put it to the vote! Voting will start Friday 24th January. Lets make this first one a biggy and get loads of cars entered!!!! Oh, and good luck if your car is entered! THIS MONTHS ENTRIES ARE: DMRICHARDS MAE-CIVIC DINOCHIPS

And tell Rich and Danny (the owners) your from Civic5. They are one of our traders here and Rich is a good mate and used to be a moderator in the forum too. He had the first turbo mb6 in the club. Dynodaze should be able to look after your needs bud.
  17. My eyes are shocking! What bit in the photo isn't connected up?
  18. Damn, unless its a bolt, a bulb, a screw, or a gromet it's discontinued. That totally sucks! How the hell are we supposed to keep our cars going with zero parts? Thing is, most of those parts are dealer only so not like we can even get pattern parts. Dull times ahead methinks. Might start plundering scrappies soon and stock piling bits! Trouble is, there's no aerodecks/civic ms in the breakers up here!
  19. Not sure tbh, but I would assume they can be swapped. Bit worrying that Hionda don't have the parts any more. Think I might have to get a wee letter knocked together to Honda UK to see if they are willing to help get parts back on the shelf for our civics. After all, its their fault for making such reliable and solid cars plus we have an ever growing club for them here and these well kept examples (which are now on the verge of or already are modern classics) will need parts to keep them going.
  20. And could this be the next K powered civic m in the club? Gonna be watching this!!!
  21. Yip, as Simon says have a look at Dave's K24'd mb.........started out life as a 1.4 MB2! The standard on his car is mind blowing mate, have a look at his build thread here >>> Dave has ocd like me (he'll never admit it though! lmao) and the attention to detail on this one will blow your mind. The car has been basically fully restored from a bare shell to the modified monster it is now. Been in it and honestly, you can drive it like miss Daisy and it potters about like any civic m quite happily. Give it some beans and you'd better be holding on!! Think he was well over 300 BHP........and thats naturally aspirated, not even a turbo in sight. Car is beautiful in every way! Just noticed he needs to update some of his photo links so will give him a call this week
  22. Here Andrew, have you still got your Aerodeck or was this on the S2K? Know you had your MC2 up for sale a while ago but never knew if you'd sold it or kept it? Just shows the effect a doggy wheel bearing can have eh!
  23. Dave

    Think bike

That's what I thought too. The car ran wide (no idea why) and he just didn't seem to have a clue what to do. Looks to have just froze.
