Jdm yo.. random jap milk drink. Will become my oil pressure guage when get round to it!
-
Wow that is a stunner. Even the rocker cover looks mint.
-
Yeah they did man. Thanks. To be honest I had installed it correctly. Just the solder used on the ignition switch takes some heat to melt.. So think had a bit of a dry joint. Reheated and added a lil bit more solder and job was a gudden!

Also pulled my finer out and sorted the turbo timer. One minor issue. Toad is set to unlock doors when ignition goes off. So I take key out. Engines remains running. Get out and lock car.. but soon as timer ends doors unlock. Poo. Need to get a manual for toad alarm try and disable that feature.

Minor update but a big update for me.. Cars this age are always missing something. Something very important!! And at anywhere from 50-90 quid I wasn't gonna be resolving the problem anytime soon until right place right time. 3 quid from the USA! !!!

I picked up a brand new ntk lambda off eBay for 10 quid. Was for a rover 620. Just lopped plug off and reused mine. Worth searching for those who can't afford full price.
-
Wasn't that one of the first suggestions? Good result if that fixes it. Think jimbob ruled that one out tho.
-
Love your car man. Looks so good

You can mount a twin scroll turbo to a single scroll mani it'll work fine. Lacking some of the benefit of twin scroll I'm sure. Yeah the whole n/a thing ain't cheap. I bought all my bits bar gaskets etc used. Then a remap still over 500 quid really. For 20hp I do love it tho. I've said it before for twisty b roads any more power in an eg would be suicide if you ask me.
-
Yeah defo Fingers crossed. Cheers dude. One day I will learn buy cheap buy twice or five? If it's a duffer I may dip into my savings and buy an s80 just be done with it.
-
Bottom of shifter sit right over exhaust. It's normal.but defo do ya gearbox oil if not been for ages
-
Nope was single scroll manifold.

It's a td05 ebay special. Possibly wants a recon. Not sure. That's why I haven't sold it really cus thought won't get much for it if sold as needs recon. And I couldn't sell it as good to go cus I ain't tried it. Yeah man 92.50 delivered to my door! I've cleaned it up will fit it couple of weeks. Not too hopeful for that price bit it defo selects all gears and seems to turn nicely. Essay

Thinking about it your right. My brain cell isnt on top form at the minute. Apologies. Yeah it would be evil. Very naughty. Don't think my 92 quid gearbox would like it tho.
-
Still I think I'm jealous. Sold all my bits bar the turbo itself. Made a killing actually. Which was nice but still dream of boost
-
Even if your running 7-8 psi. Waste gate is letting out at 8 psi but turbo is still winding up to and producing max pressure. Don't think 250hp would affect the reliability of the engine itself much if tuned well and cooling took care of. Obviously a cheap turbo and affiliated bits may end up dieing a death if driven daily. But kinda to be expected. I think that's why racetech use td05 because it proven in the EVO etc. Obviously mitsubishi have to offer a warranty on an engine that's likely thrashed and not cooled down etc.

Sad times man. Ebay Link? ?

I wouldn't worry about touching the floor long as it's firm and your really having to push hard. I can push the pedal in my van to floor right now as I eat me lunch. Maybe a bit of air still there.. does take some shifting when you've had everything off
