  1. Just watched it last night and managed to avoid the result or anything all week. Not a bad opener... Maclaren honda...
  2. Wish it was that purple all the time... Was wet when i was washing it and the purple was immense... Had to take a snap.
  3. Cheers everyone. It's a bummer about the wheel.. I washed them before putting them away when they were in the car, but never got round to doing it properly and waxing them. The one that's got the problem was the one with the seized caliper, so it's probably loads of brake crap sick in the laquer. I've tried polishing it out with various things, and it's better than it was. Gong to take it to the place that refurbed them and see what they think.
  4. Even the difference between the dc2 flywheel and standard M one is noticeable.... even if it is just 700g, that's a lot of rotational mass to loose. good thing about the DC2 one is you don't have drivability issues. don't have a definate weight for the standard M flywheel, but I weighed my DC2 one before it was installed and it was around 7.5kg. can't remeber if I've still got the old one to weigh.
  5. Love the extra road feel from 17s too.. Sorry for the thread hijack jake.
  6. Yeah, don't get me wrong.. I love the look of my 17 inchers (might be going back on this weekend) but would like to try a nice light set of 16s to see how they feel. Always remember reading a review of the dc2 years ago that said something along the lines of don't be tempted to try bigger wheels than the 16s because you'll ruin the handling.
  7. Think that 16s will be the best for handling to be fair. I know that the 15s feel much more perky for acceleration, but the 17s feel much better for grip. If i was buying some new wheels I'd probably go for 16s. I just meant that decks carry 17s off better than hatches.
  8. The decks can carry 17s off better i reckon. With a drop anyhoo
  9. Haven't done any warm starts yet, but it was lashing it down on the way back from the garage and sometimes it would do it when there was a lot of standing water on the roads. So far so good
  10. from the part numbers on mine it also seems to be the same part for the CRX, civic '92 onwards & MG ZR! yup, new sensor in there too. I did give it a damn good soaking with plus gas the other weekend.. might have helped a wee bit, but I'm sure that the massive blowtorch had more say in the matter
  11. After 2 hours got both jobs done for £15 Bargain! They had a bit of a mare getting the exhaust on though... Somehow one of the bolts didn't line up. Pleased i decided not to try to do it on my back on the drive
  12. Currently getting fitted at the friendly local exhaust place.. Going to see if they can get the o2 sensor swapped as well. Fingers crossed
  13. Yey. Good day to have a random day off work... Tnt came a day early and left some stainless steel goodness.
  14. I was thinking this too.
  15. Nope... And i didn't need to use any products from holts either... Speaking of which, I saw this in halfords at the weekend when buying another exhaust bandage Class
  16. As they say round here, shy bairns get nowt (or nee cake depending who you speak to)
  17. Had a bit of a result with the exhaust... the (mild steel) supersprint centre section that was blowing was one that was replaced a few years ago just before the 2 year warranty expired (just for being pretty badly corroded and not blowing at that time). I emailed supersprint to double check that it wasn't covered by a warranty (was pretty sure that it wasn't), and when they confirmed that it wasn't, I (slightly cheekilly) asked if they would offer me any discount on a replacement stainless one (the mild steel option has been discontinued for some reason...). I nearly fell off my seat when the reply was - yes, 50% with free shipping (from Italy). I had to give them proof of purchase for the original one of course. With a decent exchange rate on the Euro at the mo, it's worked out very well Amazing customer service from them - I was really impressed when the first swapped the exhaust without it blowing (lasted months after getting the replacement), and even more now.
  18. Also never had any problems with the bosch ones... Had sparco ones before that and they broke one winter coz the plastic went brittle.
  19. Yeah, looking nice fella
